I can't understand what you are asking.

I mean where is this law that says that 4 out of 6 years will be applied to new immigrants?

Hi all, Does anyone have the pdf version of IMM0008 Application form? Somehow, it doesn't open in my browser even after I updated to latest acrobat reader?
I have to add a dependent to my application (PER received in Oct) and have to fill out this form.

Strengthening Canadian Citizenship Act says nothing of that sort, because, for starters, there are no old or new immigrants. Only permanent residents, and for the latter to become citizens there is a residency obligation that needs to be met before an application can be lodged. As simlpe as that.

Now is clear. Thanks

Hi,

Give them a call. If they say that it is in queue for final review - you will hear good news within a month.

I see your point... It's actually an internship. So it is not really part of the studies student has the choice whether to do it or not. It won't affect the graduation average and wut not. We will see what CIC says

Internship and co op is the same, just different name.
i had to do 8weeks/ 32hrs per week to pass the postgrad studies. Unfortunately, many employers use it as a free labour and do not have any position available for students after completing the intern. There was a big discussion addreessing this issue.....
as far as i know, if you are here on a student visa/permit it will not be taken as skilled experience until you reveive postgrad work permit.. As soon as you get the postgrad work permit then your valable experience will commence

Experts I had indicated my final destination as Calgary AB in my application and I have the same in my CPR. But it will cost me time and money to get there and come back to US. As such can I drive (seems like I cant use my own car so might have to rent ) to Toronto complete the landing and come back to US. I still may provide calgary address. Will my PR card be shipped there. Furthermore, can I apply for SIN number within couple of days. I might be able to spend 3 days in Canada. I am planning to go sometime in August. Please share your experience.

Thanks

It will be delivered to the PO box and the mail room clerk will retrieve it at some point.

I don't think it does matter where you land and even stay in Canada later as long as you applied under FSW and you will not live in Quebec. What do you think Diplomatro?
