Hi All,
Was anyone able to contact the CIC call center successfully recently?? I am trying their 613-944-4000 number from USA continuously from yesterday but after pressing the necessary options like press 1 , 1 , etc i am getting an automated message that "we are experiencing high volume of calls so we wont be able to connect you to an agent" and then it disconnects.

Just wondering if they have made this as a permanent change??Is there any other number??

Sometimes they are very busy and you will just have to keep trying until you get on.

Be persistent. Eventually you'll be redirected to an agent.

Hello everyone, I submit the FSW application on August 20, 2014, Medical Report done on Mar. 2, 2015. However, the third line still did not show up yet till today. Anybody knows why the speed is low here? Thanks a lot!

Further to my last notes, I have emailed CIC and called the call center in March. The emails have not been answered, and the call center said they can see our medical reports arrived. Therefore I am confused why the status has not changed to MER? Does anybody has the same experience? Thank you : )

Hello! From my observation, that's very common. Some people waited not just weeks but even a few months before they got their 3rd line. Whats important is CIC has received your medicals. Mine were sent to CIC Dec 30 and til now no third line

Thank you! Some people I know got their MER after 2 weeks, which worries me. Anyway, do you know how long the maximum waiting time will be?

Look at Diplomatru timeline and see how long he was waiting for third line update, so don't worry, all is good ;)

My IME on the medical report form from cic reflected my old medical exam bec i had one for my student visa. So the clinic gave me a UMI or UME number and i emailed that to CIC. will that delay things?

According to another forum member the UME takes longer comparatively to IME. BTW I had done my medical exam as well for my study visa (Not in Canada) but I still had IME no.
