Can anyone clarify what the due date in GCMS notes actually means? Is this the date by which an application is supposed to be finalized?

Yes. Thats the date before which your application has to be finalized.

I don't agree on this. It's a bring forward date, which changes each time the file's opened for review.

Hi,

What does finalize actually means ? For some people (including myself), FBI PCC is still pending and might take a while. What happens in a case when the due date arrives and CIC doesn't still have the PCC. They just shift the due date forward or what ?

My understanding:

Due date: is the date your application has to be finalized. It can be changed due to any circumstances.

Bring forward date: is that date when you application has to be accessed again (a kind of reminder in system). It can be changed by IO because of various reasons (a kind of snooze button/re-scheduling BFD).

Goku, if you are referring to the "Application assignment" section, I am pretty sure it's a BFD. Tomorrow I am expecting the GCMS file btw, although I am skeptical to see any movement, since third line was updated March 27, and the notes will date back to ~March 10.

Hey all,

Happy Weekend... As promised, I am here to report the latest news regarding my case. In my previous post I explained how I sent my passport to Canada and it reached CPC-O on 3/31. On 4/1 the Canada post label got activated indicating that my passport was returned.

Well, CPC-O returned my passport without a stamp but enclosed CPR. So finally the journey is almost done and I just need to do the landing.

You're welcome. For a final review to take place, all assessments are to be completed first. If PCC is outstanding, the file location will not change to RFV-XXX (where XXX stands for the month of the prospective review by the AD).

The good thing about that officer is that he/she pays attention to BFD and actually picks up the file to see how it's fairing. My due date in February was the 23rd, but no third line update took place on that day.

Hi Everyone..

I am new here and I would like a bit help from somebody.

We have SINP nomination and after received PR application till jan.2014

after we got medical request feb.2014

we finished the medical apr.2014

paid the requested RPRF fee may.2014

In process on ecas nov.19 2014 and started processing same date

I ordered 3 times a GCMS note..

they finished our every check exceept my stepdaughter background still in process


my question is....why we need waiting too much time for this background check at all.....
