That's quite insane!! ...I wonder what determines the timelines for them to update a certain event in the ECAS system. I did my medical on the 23rd of March and my 3rd line got updated yesterday April the 3rd (that's just 11 days)....and some (like Mr. Diplomat) have waited for 3 months!!

.....boggles the mind! maybe it depends on the particular officer and his or her mode of operation? perhaps each officer has a lot of leeway in this regard??
Hey, congrats to you!

I did my medical on 27 February in Kitchener, still no 3rd line :(. My case officer is the same as Diplomatru has, so the delay may be caused by that. C'mon RK, speed up a little bit!
Hi Rogelio,
Can you update your profile with the timelines?

Hey all,

Happy Weekend... As promised, I am here to report the latest news regarding my case. In my previous post I explained how I sent my passport to Canada and it reached CPC-O on 3/31. On 4/1 the Canada post label got activated indicating that my passport was returned.

Well, CPC-O returned my passport without a stamp but enclosed CPR. So finally the journey is almost done and I just need to do the landing.

Wish you all the best

Return Tracker updated ----

That means VISA ISSUED.

All the glory goes to God. If you had told me I would become a Canadian Permanent residence in less than 9 months. I wouldn't have believed you.
By April last year, there was no clearer part to permanent residency.

But with God Almighty, there is always a way and I believed him. To him be all the GLORY.

Thanks guys, your help was and is highly appreciated. All the best.
Congratulations!

Hello

I see a lot of people having delays in FBI PCC.

I am an applicant from India who applied at CPC - O(I am currently a student in Canada). I started my PR journey on 4th Jun 14 and finished it on 3rd April 15.

I had an issue with my Indian PCC. I applied for it on 1 Oct 14 and till date I have not received it. However, the person at the BLS visa center in Canada told me that it will suffice if I send the receipt of my PCC application to CIC. It worked. CIC did not ask me for Indian PCC after that. I am not sure if the same would work for US PCC. Possibly you could send the receipt up front and later send the PCC when it comes along. It may expidite the processing of PPRs.

Hope it helps!

Folks,
I have a question.
I have requested for extension to submit FBI-PCC to CPC-O. Do they give any reply on that?
As in number of days extension is granted.
I have deadline to submit all my Docs by 25th April. But wont receive FBI-PCC untill first week of May.
:( :( :( :(
Veterans please respond.

Thanks,

How is your question related to my quote, AliMo?
Sorry. I took a wrong quote.
I was asking about the difference between IME and UMI.

I guess UMI has a potential medical risk if I'm not mistaken.

Thank you for providing some insight as to how the Visa office handles PCC certificates. I have been constantly worrying about my FBI PCC. I have very little confidence in these guys, especially since quite a few folks on here have indicated that they had a number of issues with their FBI requests (sending the PCCs to the wrong address, even after informing them of a change, certificates getting "lost" in the mail, etc. etc.).

Now if these people did not take such an insanely long time to complete a request, it would'nt be as bad. But to wait like 4 months and then bam! they tell you your prints are rejected is simply unacceptable. The visa office is most likely aware of these issues, and so it is good to know that they are flexible, as long as one can show them that they've really tried their best to obtain one.

I have evidence of submission and then plan to get a state PCC from California (I have only lived in CA since being in the US). I also do have an old FBI PCC that I had obtained in 2005 for some odd reason. So in a worst case scenario, I'll probably send all of these with a detailed explanation letter. Hopefully that should be enough (**crosses fingers**) to satisfy them ;)
