I am not keen on getting the signature, but if I could just be assured it reached the correct desk, I would be fine.

The thing is that the USPS or Canada Post would have delivered to the correct building, for that is what the printed address was.

My question is more on people at 219 Laurier, if they would have directed it to the correct floor.

Is the whole building just for CIC, or the building just has Case Processing Center on its 7th floor with the rest being other businesses. In that case, the title on my packing slip shall suffice, I presume.

Regards

From my experience I can tell it was delivered for me by USPS even when it just said Delivered so don't worry as long as you have floor number on your address.

It's an office building.

Diplomatru, I guess you mean the while building is CIC office. In that case, PCCs are expected only on the 7th floor, Section B.

In my case, only if they open the envelope in the main lobby, and read the subject line of the cover letter (mentioning submission of PCCs), can only my envelope reach the correct desk. I think they will. Just wanted to be sure. No phone numbers listed for the building anywhere.

CanadaImmQ2013, I guess you missed my first post. I failed to mention the floor and section information. That is the concern.

I would have said government building (like CIO), in that case, but it's not. It is an office building and CIC occupies only part of the premises.

Ok. Being a positive person, I would tend to think that everyone in the main lobby would then know at what floor Case Processing Center is, or the Canada Post guy would know at least. :)

Apart from hoping, is there then no way to find this out ?

Of course. In every lobby there is an index of tenants, so the post person would have no problems finding the recipient's whereabouts. CanadaImmQ's approach seems sound, try that if you want peace of mind.

That is true. The concern was only that there might be (not sure though) several CIC's offices in that building, Section A, B, C etc. Canada Post wouldn't know which one to hand it over to unless they open it.

Or as you guys said, someone from CIC must have received it, and they after opening, would have already directed it to the correct desk.

Out of curiosity, I just called one of the businesses at 219 Laurier, and the guy told me they have a security check in the lobby. No one can go upstairs, unless invited from upstairs. But he didn't have a good idea about the mail situation.

Regards

Congrats! there is no strict format for additional info. I sent it as plain text in a email's body and it was received as per GCMS notes.

Thanks Diplomatru ;) and I wish I could give you a +1 but it says you can't repeat a karma action without waiting 168 hours

That's out of the question. Opening correspondence is illegal.
