Hi guys,

I never thought I would goof up on such a simple thing, but it appears I have.

I sent the PCCs via USPS Express mail, for which they make you write the address on the packing slip instead of the envelope, and due to limited space and oversight, I used the following address

Case Processing Centre – Ottawa
Citizenship and Immigration CANADA
219 Laurier Avenue West, 7th floor, section B
Ottawa, Ontario K1A 1L1
Canada

So it must have reached the correct building, but do you think the title,

Case Processing Centre – Ottawa
Citizenship and Immigration CANADA

will be enough for it to reach the 7th floor and Section B of the building ?

It is already delivered. What could be the best way to find out if it reached the correct destination.

Regards

Do you have a name of the recipient?

Actually No.

I did check 'signature required' on the packing slip, but my USPS tracking just says DELIVERED, with no signatures or a name.

That is what raised the red flag for me.

Congrats! there is no strict format for additional info. I sent it as plain text in a email's body and it was received as per GCMS notes.

If you have the signature option, this information will be available later in the evening. let me know in this thread when it appears.

Actually, it's been a couple of days now since it was delivered (on last Friday to be exact) and the status hasn't changed.

I was also expecting it to show up, tried calling USPS in the meanwhile, but all they have are machines.

Hi All
Do I need passport valid for 6 months when I send my passport for visa stamping. Also do you know if I can send my new passport if I renew it since that will be different then what I sent initially during the application.

That's the issue with USPS they say it would show the signature but it does not.what you could do is call usps customer service and ask the representative to put a request to Canadian post to show the proof of signature.canada post would send this proof in mail to your address which might take 3 weeks but that's the only way to know who signed it as I did the same.

If you get a new passport & send it for stamping it should not cause any problem. You can mention it on a cover letter that you have a new passport & mention your old & new passport numbers. Nothing to worry, relax :)

I am not keen on getting the signature, but if I could just be assured it reached the correct desk, I would be fine.

The thing is that the USPS or Canada Post would have delivered to the correct building, for that is what the printed address was.

My question is more on people at 219 Laurier, if they would have directed it to the correct floor.

Is the whole building just for CIC, or the building just has Case Processing Center on its 7th floor with the rest being other businesses. In that case, the title on my packing slip shall suffice, I presume.
