Thanks Zorro and +1 to you. It seems you have already called :)
You're welcome farahnz! Actually, one time I called and their online system was done so I could not get any new information on my file. Please update us if you get any new information and be ready to stay on hold or be asked to call back later! :)

Is that you Diplo???

This calls for a Glomar response :)

Hello bat001,

Congratulations. Just wanted to check with you about the timelines. when did you mailed your passport to Ottawa office ?

I have mailed my passport on Monday 16th & It reached on 17th. Still I am waiting for my passport.

Thanks,
Snowboy

10th march received @ cpc-o...so its 7days in between...I think it depends on Canadapost as your visa might already be on your passport - someone even told me Canadapost have specific days they go to cpc offices to pick-up mails

FYI: For those who are already in Canada

Please check all information on COPR especially original date of entry (this should be the date when you first entered Canada) is correct or not, if its incorrect than inform CBSA officer during landing, and by chance if you forget then its ok as we anyways have to send application to do amendment on COPR. Amendment process takes 6 months.

P.S. I am sending application for Amendment on COPR (Original entry date is incorrect). Original date of entry is needed when you apply for OASB and CPP at the time of retirement.

Why can't we just use the date that's on the COPR, if the only difference that it would make is to CPP? I just feel like by the time i get to use my CPP it won't really matter when i entered Canada. I can use whatever date on my documents
