Good Afternoon,

I have query regarding visa expiry date.

My medical record date is 24th April 2014 as I have submitted the same medicals which I have taken during the work permit.

I heard we need to validate the PR(First entry to canada) within 1 year of meds recd date.

I hope I will receive the passport request atleast by 3rd week of march. If I get PPR in the end of march or April 1st week,I might take some more time to submit the passport.

By the time I receive the passport back, medicals would have been expired. Will they provide some additional time to validate ?
Has anyone faced similar situation? what would happen in this case.

Thank you in advance.

As long as the other noc is capped when sent or reached, it will be returned - 2ndly, If both NOCs have similar job duties, you are fine but otherwise, you cant claim the 15 point bro.....

I have this question to settle for one of my guys,
in respect of NOC job experience:

Experience Maximum 15 points
1 year 9
2-3 years 11
4-5 years 13
6 or more years 15

Can he claim 15 points for an NOC that he has 1.5 yrs experience where his has another 6.5 yrs experience in other NOC though now capped. i.e. 1.5 yrs experience under NOC 1114 and 6.5yrs experience under NOC 1111.
how many points will he get?

Thank you.

Nope its takes exact 30 calendar days.

Goku, mikeypm's application under Privacy act took considerably longer to process than mine (I applied under ATI act).

I applied GCMS under privacy act 2 times. Received it exactly on 30th day as mentioned on CIC website. :)

In very rare case they miss the request and that why may be mikepm received notes later.

That could be the case. I also applied on Feb. 6 but out of the business hours, so I guess the clock started ticking on Monday. Hence, no GCMS notes so far :(

Just a quick point here - I assume that you are presently on H1B and I Believe That The AVR process is limited to individuals on F or J visa only.

Nope. AVR is valid for H, L class visa also but F and J visa has more restrictions.

H and L visa can go to Canada, Mexico and near by islands of USA and come back with in 30 days

BUT

F and J visa can go to Only Canada and Mexico, not near by Islands and other restrictions.

Thanks!

Interestingly, I have received a reply to query from ATIP division of CIC, which said that my GCMS notes are due on Monday, March 9. The TAT for reply was 3 days.
This confirms my assumption that ATIP requests received after business hours would be placed into processing on next business days.

MY FELLOW OTTAWA PEOPLE....I JUST RECEIVED PPR AFTER 21DAYS OF DM!!!!BELIEVE & GLORY TO GOD ALONE...
GOD BLESS YOU GUYS & ALL THE BEST IN THIS JOURNEY!!!

Yes that is mentioned in acknowledgement email you receive after submit request for GCMS.
