Friends,

I am all set to do landing and also moving to Windsor/Detroit area. Found answers to almost all the questions related to Tax/Housing/Commute/Car import/Export/Health insurance and Nexus card. However I am still trying to find answers to below issues. It would be great, if some one can share their views/experience.

1) Do I need H1B stamp inside passport to get Nexus card? I am in USA for 4 years and never left outside. But I don't have H1B stamp in passport, but only valid I-797 and I-94 documents.

2) If I cross border every day with H1B stamp in passport, with no NEXUS card, do they stamp in my passport every day?

3) Should my US H1B job payroll run on Canada address or USA address?

4) Should I maintain a US residency (by taking an apartment?) for H1B extension and Payroll purpose?

5) Do I need to stay in border city (Windsor or Detroit) already to apply for Nexus card? I am planning to apply Nexus card from Washington DC(Where I reside now) using current Washington DC address, once I get my PR card to hand, but want to apply for Nexus card before I actually move to Detroit. Would it cause any issues?

6) If my employer applies for I-140 when I am in Windsor, what address should I give?

7) Since I am working in USA, does my W2 should contain my USA address, or can it contain Canada residency address? If my pay stub has Canada address, how does USCIS will react when applying for H1B extension or I-140 or H4 related things?

Just a quick point here - I assume that you are presently on H1B and I Believe That The AVR process is limited to individuals on F or J visa only.

If you are rejected, you cannot reapply under the FSW program.

Ya man. Thanks - I hope they return it soon. Especially when I have sent the passports with all the visas in there for myself and family, it just makes me little worried that its handled with care.

My Canada Post Tracker status just got updated to "Item Processed" @ 18:19 Ottawa time . Estimated Delivery Date is showing as 2-9 business days. I will keep updating the status as it changes.
My Passports were received by CPC-O on 19-Feb@ 1:59 PM.

Hope everyone who is waiting for passports also get them back soon!!! All the best guys !!

Congrats man. Should I be worried? No update at all on my tracker. I hope they send by tomorrow. My passports were delivered same day as yours :(

Dear Friends,

I have done medical yesterday - doctor told me that CIC should have it within a week. In letter from CIC they ask for medical and payment only. One I pay & once CIC will receive medical, how long do I have to wait for the next step?

Thanks
:)

Hey guys after reading some of the posts I realised that CPC-O have asked me for Indian PCC..
Is that ok if I get it done from consulate here in Canada?

Dear johnybegood,

CPC-O is the only CIC station that outsources security assessment to CSIS.
Security screenings are sent and received in batches. Seems they are waiting for the next batch to arrive. And then the Assistant Director can move up to issue visas.

My file has not been opened on due date, so nobody had a chance to update the meds lol.

They should, but they are not constrained to do so. Due date is just a reference. I don't care about the third line much, I want a visa like everyone else )))

As per my observations PPRs arrive on the second week of the month (Jan., Feb). Let's see if this tendency holds in March.
