Can't you show borrowing transaction with incoming money.

That way, CIC can see the money flowed out of your account (your own money) to a friend and it came back in from the same person. I don't see any issue here then.

affidavit from your friend wont help as its a clear signal for rejection. According to their (cic) statement, this fund must not be borrowed bla bla bla (whatever)....I will advise u to be patient, sit and think of what to say, you still have ATLEAST 30 days or maybe 60days...but I do not understand, which fund was borrowed & returned? $1300 or the $11000?.

Nice Question., i understand your point now, I just asked my friend who is in Canada(since Jan 2013) and has landed (reason he received a PR visa + COPR was because his + his family's file was treated outside of Canada)..his family is not in canada. Both visa exempt guys and non visa (already in Canada receive ONLY COPR.) I believe that's why I got DM since 13th and haven't received any message from them.

bat001, how would you explain the counterfoil line then?
PS they don't use the term 'landed immigrant' anymore.

Yes, it must be the case. Visa is only a travel document, either it's an S-1, V-1 or I-1 it always remains a counterfoil which allows single or multiple entry. The status is defined by COPR only. On that note, you cannot have two valid visas in PP at the same time. If they technically ask me to submit my PP for stamping they will have to cancel my multiple entry visa without prejudice and replace it with single entry visa which kind of sucks, because I would not be able to travel until the PR card arrives.

What am currently say is that he has $500/$600 from aug to dec 2014 and suddenly $11,000 to $13000 (from Jan 2015 to feb 2015)...6months back is around aug to sept....if he has to proof that he borrowed a friend $11,000 before the 6months.....then the only way he can proof it is to show more than 6months statements (maybe 12months statement - which includes the outflow of the funds) and still write an explanatory letter to support it.

If he was getting an interview, it would be easier to explain....affidavit from a friend wont help as its his money and needs to defend it - my opinion guys

Nah, lol I have never contacted CIC before except a call I made to them 5days after DM..the lady told me the DM was normal, file approved on 11th and updated on 13th and that they are currently working on my COPR...that's the only info!

You are quite lucky. The agent I talked to told me he had no access to FSW files.

they behave like they've got bugs in their brain sometimes, lots of people have the same complaint as yours ....maybe by Wednesday, I will send them a "whats up message" bahahaha

Well, I am sure they have access to GCMS (even CBSA guys do, which I can confirm based on personal experience), so they can give an update on the application status, but for some odd reason they say "contact CPC-O by email". Will try my luck tomorrow on the due date lol.

Hello all,
After a long journey for our passports that took exactly 1 month, Alhamdulilah I got the passports today with IM-1 visa stamped:
from Cairo to Ottawa at 23 January
Received by CPC-O at 28 January
Visa issued 3 February
tracker Activated at 9 February
Reached my friend at California at 13 February
The passports reached me at Cairo again today 23 February with a friend of a friend . Thanks everyone for your support, wishing everyone good news soon.

Received on Feb 10. The visa was stamped on Feb 13, and tracking for return was activated on Feb 18.

yes they have access to everything. well I called and told them I found DM and do not understand (even though I do lol) - then she held me on the phone, verified and explained I do not need to worry as they will reach me when they are ready with COPR...I don't like to contact them though....
