What would be a long stay though?, stayed in Bosnia for about 6 months and Denmark for 10 months. Most other places a few weeks upto a month so not sure if a couple of weeks upto a month is considered a long stay?

Hello All!

Finally after more than 2 months of waiting, I just had my Medicals received status updated in eCAS - is it a positive sign? My FBI is still in process and will be received sometime in May/ June, so I am assuming that the file will be on hold till that time.

Thanks

my o my...that's a longtime and yes your file would be on hold till the time they receive your FBI clearance for security check purpose, but make sure they(CIC) is aware of the FBI delay because if you don't, they will base the decision on what is in their system

cheers :)

I received my FBI report on Feb 11 2015, below is my timeline.

App reached: Oct 21 2014
CC charged: Jan 8 2015
App mailed: Feb 6 2015
App received: Feb 11 2015

I am re-posting my question in this thread as I would like to know if there is anyone who has experienced this in their FBI report? Will CPC Ottawa ask me for state PCC based o my FBI report?

They have mentioned in the report, " A search of the fingerprints provided by this individual has revealed no prior arrest data at the FBI. This does not preclude further criminal history at the state or local level." Looking at this, are there any chances CIC may ask for state PCC? :o Or is this usually mentioned in all FBI reports?

Thanks for the help in advance!

This could be the new format of the report after Sep 2014, there was some enhancement done to their system. Either they used to mention only "A search of the fingerprints provided by this individual has revealed no prior arrest data at the FBI."

Others who have received the report recently can help you concur whats written on their report.

Typically most states complete their search in less than 3 weeks. You can send the FBI report and request report in the state's you have lived in USA. This way it will save time for you, if question. They are quite inexpensive.

Canada is great!

Congrats Ciscoguy. I hope you just went to Canada and returned back to US. Could you share your experience please specially what you are saying "Canada is great". I am in US too and may be getting passport sometime by the first week of March. I am in a dilemma what to do. I am in H1 and invested about 7 years in US. I am fed up with this H1 but scared to move elsewhere and start from scratch.
