Same thing happened to my brother in-law's case today; his timeline is as follows:

Application Received June 25th, 2014
Started Processing Application on November 25th, 2014
Medical Results Received January 11th, 2015
Decision Made today.

Most people receive their PPR before ECAS get updated. Do you think this is normal?

I do not think It takes that long.

It is non sense to take more than 2 months for DM then one more month for PPR.

Would you please provide us with a proof, because It is a bit scary!

Also there was a guy who got both DM and PPR in the same day and I have found also others got in in 6 days interval.

I have seen so far two cases; one took four days and the other case took one week between DM to PPR.

Yea, I think we might get it today or next week, In Sha'a Allah will not exceed this duration.

I just need an average. If you said from X day to Y week. It would be a relief because It is based on a real statistics.

Wanted to give hope to those peeps waiting for XpressPost tracker to activate-

My passport reached CPC on January 19th. My tracker activated last night (Feb 5th) on CanadaPost and the USPS site is showing tracking as well.

Keep the faith, they are working at a glacial pace, but at least they're sending them out!

Thanks to JustRaf for sending his good karma, which I truly believe is why CPC got off their lazy bums and mailed my passport. ;D ;D ;D

I can understand the time CPC-O takes between receiving passports and printing the visa. But the time between printing visa and sending passports back is a big mystery for me. It is just putting the passports in an envelope and throw it into the post office (which is in the same street). What could possibly make this process take up to 7 business days! !!!

Hello Goku,

I saw your file moved from Ottawa to NY. Is this because you live in US..? I also live in US but so far I have not heard from CIC about changing visa office. (in my form, by mistake I wrote visa office as NY). But so far I got RPRF, MR, PCC request from Ottawa and I submitted to Ottawa office.

One more thing - Did you land via road..? if yes, could you suggest how to arrange..? i.e. rented car or personal car..?, custom related things and any problem on the port if we say that we are returning to US after one week to continue job..?
