Sure no problem.
I had the same nervousness while everyone had the PPR mail in their package... My passport reached Ottawa on 01/13 and my tracker got activated on 01/23.
So I didnt face any delays.

Just one thing to note, I put my Application number as a reference in the address and also in a separate sheet inside the envelope (no one asked for it, I just thot to make it easy for them)

yeah this things really confused me ..

is there anyone who already had the landing procedure from usa ? can anyone share the exact experiences with the proof of fund ?

right now I have money which were sent from my home country plus from my past few months salary (part time job)

how can I show proof of money which i got from my parents ? they sent it through some relatives time to time ..

We are planning to go on Monday for landing at rainbow bridge. The passports will reach during day time by xpresspost. Any time that we should avoid or just jump on car the moment passports come and Zipp to niagra for landing?

I just went on Saturday because I wanted to do some shopping across the border. There were not that many people there and I was done in less than 30 minutes.

can you pls explain it more ? I dont have any job right now . So if I take my fund then what sort of proof i should give them ?

thanks

I have taken CIBC bank statement which I printed online. Even though I work here in Canada I haven't taken my employment letter. Just make sure you have something solid to show as proof. I'm not sure if you can carry that sort of cash on you because of $10.000 limit.

Arriving with $10,000 or more:

Under Canada's Proceeds of Crime (Money Laundering) and Terrorist Financing Act, there are no restrictions on the amount of money that you can bring into or take out of Canada. You must, however, report amounts of currency equal to or greater than CAN $10,000 or its equivalent in a foreign currency to the Canada Border Services Agency. These rules apply whether you are bringing the money into, or taking it out of Canada, or carrying the money with you or sending it by mail or by courier.

PS. You should take some in cash and some in Bank drafts. I don't think you have to prove the source of money. All you need to show that you have money to settle and to survive in Canada.

There is NO such thing as $10.000 limit. You can bring ANY sum of money as long as you DO file a customs declaration in case it exceeds $10.000.

For landing at the boarder, do we need to take any appointment? or just go and complete the landing procedure? Can anyone please explain more details what documents we must carry out for landing? I know passport, fund proof, COPR. Any form or any other documents?

Can you please tell us why I am wrong?

Second, once you get a SIN number and make a large deposit in your Canadian bank account, this will be reflected immediatly in your CRA profile. If you still in doubt, give it a try my friend.

Finally, I personally know people who have done the landing formalities with Canadian or American bank statements and they never had any problems with CBSA upon landing. Please make sure you have enough arguments before saying someone is wrong.

I will tell you why you are wrong.

I work in Canada from past 3 years(in Canada for past 5 years), and I work as accountant supervisor and deal with CRA on almost daily basis. I also make large deposits and withdrawal every month, nothing get reflect in CRA. There is no such things like CRA profile. CRA has nothing to do with your personal account. You know people who told you something. I am here in Canada, I know rules and regulations related to CRA. Now, if you want to challenge me on something its upto you but I am 100% sure you will lose your bet.

I dont have anything personal or wont gain any advantage by telling you that you were wrong if you were right. But if someone is wrong, then I will tell them that info is wrong. I dont see any problem with that and I am sure nobody has problem with that.

You were wrong btw. I don't want to fight you friend but please make sure you are conveying proper information because many people takes decision based on whats told. Peace. :)

You just go to border and tell Canadian authorities that you are there for flag poling/Landing. All you need is COPR, PP, and proof of fund.

Umm..how are you planning to enter the US? You can reenter the US only if you have a valid status. So, you would have to carry documents that prove it. And, you cannot reenter US in your grace period.

Thank you for responding to my query. Why do i need to reenter USA? I am leaving USA and going to Canada forever. I will be towing all my stuff in a uHaul trailer. Please respond if you think I am missing something here.

I thought you were planning on landing in Canada and then going back to US since that's what the post that you responded to was about. If you don't plan on returning to the US, then of course, you don't need to worry about getting back.
