I know! But this is from the actual website of the Canadian Embassy in Cairo:
The premises of the Embassy of Canada in Cairo located at 26 Kamel El Shenawy in Garden City are closed on a temporary basis. Visa services continue to be available.

Also after contacting VFS, they told me the visa office is still working. This is what they say on their website:

If you have received notification from the Government of Canada requesting your passport, your passport(s) along with the request letter may be submitted through this Visa Application Centre.

Sometimes info on the Embassy's website is outdated. For instance their mission in Poland states 150CAD fee for TRV, while it costs 100CAD now... VFS seems working though, even according to CIC.

VFS assured me that they are sending passports to this visa office, so I think all those who got PPR should request having it printed in Cairo Visa Office and if it's really closed, they'll reply saying that it's not possible.

Look, if If it looks like a duck, swims like a duck, and quacks like a duck, then it probably is a duck.
I don't know why CIC would keep notice of closure on website if it were not true...

hello my Ottawa people***yawn***

Hi CPC Ottawa applicants. Hope everybody is doing well. I'm a June 30th applicant and the 4th line was added in my ECAS account today. What is the next step for me? I'm coming from a visa exempt country. Am I waiting for PPR or COPR at this point? In case if I'm waiting for COPR, will it physically be mailed to me or will I get an e-mail from CPC Ottawa. I'm currently in Canada. Thanks for all your help.

Hi! Your COPR will be emailed to you. You will print it out and perform landing at POE depending on your location.

All June PPR are people who have sent PCC along with their initial application, for couple who sent their PCC later it was early May dates. My pcc reached last week so guess I have a lil wait ahead of me.

True, so Diplomatru, as your mentioning earlier abt the security checks i am guessing all PCC gets verified as part of the checks. I am hoping thts not too much of a time consuming process.

I think we will start seeing PPR from Wed/ Thu this week. This has been trend with CPC-O, they process the applications for first half of the week and issue PPR's in bulk towards the later half of the week. May be I am wrong, but that's what I have noticed - at least after October its true.

Got PER on December 2 (August 12 applicant). So far no second line or any other email from CPC-Ottawa, starting to get worried.

Should I plan for applying for GCMS notes and if yes, is it possible for my lawyer in Canada to apply on my behalf.

No, it will take time. given the fact, christmas and new year holidays. CPC-O is in PPR mode.

So, relax you will be just fine.

How many days between per and first corespondance which is probably MR from cpc ottawa?
how many days i will be given to finish the mr in the email?
And how many days from the doctor upload the results till the 3Rd line change to medicals received?
