I went with the same doctor (Dr. Garrett) and paid the same amount. Also, he uploaded the results very very fast!

He's awesome indeed. I hope he can upload the results before weekend. Did you receive confirmation email from his office?

I mailed my file on Nov 25, 2014. Still long way to go!!!!

Yes, he sent a confirmation email after 48 hours of undergoing medicals. He said medical results were fine and he had just finished uploading the results to CIC Medical Department.

Thanks, +1

My application was received on August 12 and I got my PER email on December 2. I haven't received any updates from CPC-Ottawa yet. Are there any July or August 1st week applicants still waiting to get their second line update or Medical request?

Yes I am July 25th Applicant and waiting for Medical still. My second line is not updated yet. I don't know what are they doing with my file. It seems all other July applicants got MR already. Experts please share views. Could it be possible that they are checking employment background?

Today a user named pg123 got his RPRF from CPC-Ottawa. I think he is a Phd student in Canada with application received on August 11 and PER on December 2. Earlier he reported that he got his second line update on January 1. I am not sure if the process was fast for him because he is already in Canada

So it looks like the timelines cannot be predicted and I think all we can do now is sincerely pray that we get our MRs soon :)

Quick Question:

I have applied FSW 2014 – Ottawa on Dec. 29 (documents deliver) but I haven’t heard anything back from CIC. Do CIO e-mail us upon application reception or we get to know when they directly charge our credit card?

I am considering SINP – EE subcategory too so not sure that how long does CIO takes to give me my status (My application status is also not available at electronic Client Application Status tool). ::)

Thanks for response in advance :)

No you have to wait 2-3 months from the day of Application received before charges and the first email (PER)

That's ridiculously expensive.

What I payed Dr. Garrett was:
150CAD doctor fee + 8CAD blood/urine test + chest xray 40CAD

I paid $385 for myself, $385 for my wife and $330 for my son in the state of Virginia--talk about looting by these medical professionals in US ---the lesser, the better
