NO. Ottawa does not send any confirmation about file transfer. The first thing Ottawa sends you is a MR/PCC request.

Do they send request for PCC and Medical in the same email or is it separate? I received my PCC request today, but no Medical yet.

I applied under phd program last week. My wife is in my country and want to visit me in Christmas. Do you think I can apply without hampering PR application? i am afraid to get rejection for trv for my wife. She was rejected twice but I am afraid for PR. Is there any impact of trv on PR application? thanks.

There won't be any effect of TRV on the PR application. BUT, there could be negative effect on the TRV application due to PR application since you are supposed to have non-immigrant intent when applying for TRV.

If you only applied for PR last week, then you can apply for TRV right away without the negative consequence, since the PR application won't be processed for another couple months.

Medical is sent in a separate email usually. So keep checking the inbox and junk mail. If you don't receive the MR email for another couple days, then send an email to ottawa asking if they sent you the MR as well.

Thank you for answer. Now a days, couple of my friends inside canada (phd stream) got PR in 7-8 months. It is so encouraging to see they are now processing quickly. BTW what does it mean by PER? How long I have to wait for first notification from cic that they received my doc and charge my credit card ?

1. PER: Positive Estimation Received, I guess
2. around 110 days

I need one help regarding RPRF form .. I did it online with CC there is one portion after my name like address and date of birth and phone no and client id no .. Do I need to write those and send the form ?

It was not printed from the online form

what I understood that all the medical receipts and the rprf receipt printouts .. as my medical was emedical do I need to send any other medical form with that ?

I got the following info from Report:
Search completed on November 11,2014
letter date: November 14, 2014
Mailing date( on the envelop) : November 17, 2014
