Hey guys,

Just wondering - all those who have received their passports stamped along with CoPR, how much time have you been getting before you land in Canada? I know maximum it can go to is 1 year from the date you submit your medicals but I am just trying to understand a general trend here. I am currently in US and while I hope to get my PPR soon enough, I am also hoping that I will be give enough time (my medicals were done back in Jan this year) to move. Reason being that I won't have the option to make a short landing and return to US as my student visa expired last month and I cannot return without getting the visa extended, the chances of which are fairly low. So whenever I move, it will be for good.

Hi, I wanted help from someone who completed his/her landing from the US and came back to USA.

I am planning to drive to Canada in September and come back to US after a week. I am not planning to move there for good atleast for another year. I want to drive my own car, but not export it as I will be driving back in the same car.

Can I drive my car to Canada without exporting it?

Thanks for your help.

Recently one applicant got his passport back. His medicals were expiring in couple of months but he was given 2-3 months extra to land. So they give enough time to land. May be around 3-4 months.

I am in the same boat, my student visa expired last month. I can come back if I return within 30 days as I have active status but I don't want to take a chance.

Hi Guys,

This is a truly frustrating situation and I am really hoping for your inputs.

I had filed my application on Oct 24th and had my spouse added in March 2015 (just after I got my second line). At the time of submission I provided my wifes India PCC.

Now FF 4 months (July 27) we have completed all procedures, have got TLU (July 8), submitted FBI PCC (July 10) and on 27 July we get another request for india PCC for spouse! I (through representative) have asked for clarification on the same day and I am yet to hear back from VO :(. My deadline for providing PCC is August 27 what options do I have?

How long does VO take to respond to these type of clarifications?

Any one else have such experience?

My program asst: DA20220

Thanks,
PyrocasterX90

Thanks Vinaj. Can you elaborate a bit more on what you meant by active status? I mean I wouldn't want to risk it either.

In addition, I am planning to get married around end of November and that kind of make me even more desperate to have the time extended until at least first week of December so that I can add my spouse on my application itself. Granted that will make me wait for another quarter but that option is better than submitting a separate sponsorship application for her. That being said, I am in the process of applying for her tourist visa, just in case I am asked to land before November.

Do you have scanned copy of your spouse's India PCC? Then send them an email yourself and tell them that the original of the attached was sent to CPC-O earlier.

In the email subject line mention: PCC Urgent: Attn DA20220

They should respond back quickly. In your email show urgence so they will take it seriously.

Forget about your representative, send it yourself. August 27th is still far away. If you possibly can, getting PCC from India is very easy and you can get it done in couple of days (you know how). It would be still Tuesday tomorrow in india. You have enough time.

Currently, I am a Fulltime student so my sevis is active. So my status is active. if you are still FT student or on OPT, you should have active status too.

Hi Vinaj,

Thank you so much for your quick reply man. I'll send out the email to CPC-O myself - also, I'll get an Indian PCC within this week.

Hopefully sending another PCC while asking for clarification won't confuse them.

Thank you,

Sincerely,
PyrocasterX90

Don't send it until the last few days. Send it around 19 or 20 so it reaches before 24. It will give them enough time to respond

And even after that if you send it, I don't think it would confuse them.

Thanks again. I thought you meant this but wanted to be sure. I am FT student as well but also working on FT CPT. Problem is, as you said, you can't be sure if you will be allowed to enter again.
Appreciate your help.

You can complete landing if you qualify for this. Check out..
