When did you get this email from Ottawa? Did you ever order GCMS notes?

This is an info for my Ottawa fellas, I was expecting PPR this week and CPC sent me this email below:

Dear xxxxxx xxxxx:
This is in reference to your application for permanent residence in Canada. In order for us to continue the processing of your application, we require the following documents:
· Reason why you answered “No” to “Schedule A” – Question 6.d. Please give the reason you were refused entry to the United States of America.
Please submit the requested documents to the following email address: xxxxx @ xxxx.xx

Owing to my oversight (inadvertently) while filling the form wayback - I totally forgot I had applied to travel to the US and was refused visiting visa in 2013 for xmas break.

This was surely figured out during security check, so my advice to all you guys is, fill your forms very well accordingly and try to remember every bit of info that is necessary to ensure a smooth & fast process for all ya.

am on my way to scan and email a cover letter [ I have 30days for what I can do in 15mins ].
Thought I post this for you guys' future references.

well you can say lucky but I consider it (from experience) as a normal thing at this stage - this process is considered as an "oversight when filling a form" and not misrepresentation. Its easier for an applicant to forget something in the past and not remember that situation has changed over the last month, weeks etc. Hence, easier for an applicant to click on "No" for everything.

That's why CPC asked for the reason...they have done security check ad already know the reason...so they are just waiting for response and clarification to see if it matches with what they have from "security check" result bro...

I got it this morning, I don't even believe in GCMS notes etc etc - Patience is key, Whether GCMS or SMS lol, Visa Officers will respond when they want or are ready lool - Lets get busy with other things, PR is done already, God will push them to work for everyone of us bro

Thanks bro, I am asking because a person from CPC Ottawa forum got the same email last week. However the email was misdirected to him as he was never refused any entry to USA. Lol probably the email was originally going to be sent to your email address.

I agree with you, this cannot be a source of misrepresentation.

I wonder why they didn't check for security before asking for medicals?

I believe security check comes after medicals nowadays ...criminal check is different from security check - Security check maybe something related to terrorism etc

A bit confused about Canada post ..I am new york .. anyone know where it is ? They told me to give a return label .. if anyone already sent passport from USA pls let me know the details..

Bro, there is no Canada Post in NY, because it's US, not Canada.

If you have a mailing address in the United States: To allow you to track your passports through the mail, we strongly recommend that you purchase a pre-paid shipping label from Canada Post and include it with your passports and a copy of this letter. Follow the link to purchase your shipping label:

If you do not submit a return prepaid Xpresspost envelope or a pre-paid Canada Post shipping label, or if you provide an envelope from any other courier, we will return your passport by regular mail.

Happy to share that I got PPR today, and thanks a lot for all your support!

I am totally confused about sending passports to Canada, and could not find a decent post with all instructions. I know there are few friends here who sent passports to cpc-ottawa from USA and got them back.

Please could you let us know step by step process you did to make it happen? It would be a great help. Thanks a lot and All the best!!

Note: If Canada Post is the only option to buy the label, then I came across the posts online with payment difficulties. So it would be a great help, if some one in USA could share their experience with payment, label and sending passports to OTTAWA.

Right, in the PPR insha'Allah they will give you a link to canada post website where you can purchase and print a prepaid label for shipment to USA. As suggested by Diplomatru, put your name in the 'to' field and add in care of your friend name
