Any activity from Ottawa today (MR, PPR, passport tracker update etc.)? Want to know if they are working or closed due to snow.
I just wanted to point out my timeline. My FBI PCC by CPC-O on Dec 18. Suddenly on Dec 29, I got an email from them telling me that all the documents they required from me were received, and if they needed anything else they would contact me. I had not requested this email. Also the format of this email was similar to the PER and MR rather than an email response. (I got PPR on Jan 8 )rpishere said:Guys -
I am May 22nd applicant, I am done with RPRF, MR, and Indian PCC back in Oct/ November. I got my 3rd line update in October itself. They extended my timeline for FBI PCC request and I sent it within allowed timeline. My FBI PCC reached them on Jan 5th. I haven't got any confirmation from them whether PCC and RPRF is received by them.
Now it seems my application is stuck. They didn't even replied for my Jan 2nd query asking for confirmation of receipt of PCC and RPRF. I know Patience is key, but this being a black box is now making me think of my options in my control apart from wait. Shall I go ahead with GCMS?
Looking for your comments.
Thanks
I think they have a #snowday as well. My university is closed today too.jobinj1 said:Any activity from Ottawa today (MR, PPR, passport tracker update etc.)? Want to know if they are working or closed due to snow.

Diplomatru said:Why not? It has no effect on the processing of the application and you get to see some interesting information.

So, I received an email that they received everything. I however did not request it.

Just a quick question. For inland applicants through CPO Visa office, how long is it usually taking from PER to passport stamp if everything goes smooth?
Thank you
No problem. I wish you get your PPR soon, your original application was submitted only 10 days after me, so I think you are close.rpishere said:Yeah, that is what I noticed with few other applicants. Am not comparing with anyone, but looking at timelines I think my application is either tagged as a Backlog, or some random future date for review, or under some security clearance.
I hope they at least reply with document receipt confirmation or directly PPR
Thanks for your reply..!

I see lot of updates about landing in Canada/ crossing the border to get the PR... I'm expecting my passports back this week and planning for Feb end visit to Canada.. Initially I was considering to take a flight to Toronto, but I guess crossing the border by road is easier... Could you please address my below questions?
- I'm in CA, USA...Is there a way I can take the road option from Seattle? If so, what is the name of the place where I'll cross the border?
- Will they return back the passports immediately? I'm planning to give my friend's address in Toronto for sending the PR as I have to come back to US and settle stuffs before I can move to Canada? I'm on H1B visa..
- How long should I stay in Canada? If there is no restriction, I'd come back the next day itself or even the same day.
Anyone else from West coast planning the same?
