Congratulations and thanks AlMohager for the info.
Still don't understand why there are differences between the two emails we received although we are sharing almost exact application history and timeline ....

Can you share the full email removing the sensitive information?

Thanks,

A
thanks bro, but I' am not sure if this is positive sign or not :)
well that's exactly the full email as received from them, I don't understand the reason behind the change in the reply, maybe different agent?

Yes could be different agents ... let us wait and see, in all cases this is the only thing we can do, and we have been doing till now... ::)
Everything will happen when Allah wants ... ;)

Dear Sir,

Please be advised that your application is in the queue for review, we expect that it will be reviewed within the coming few weeks. We will notify you if any additional document is required.

Regards,

Visa Section/Section des visas
Canadian Embassy/Ambassade du Canada

Magles El Shaab
Cairo, Egypt/ le Caire, Egypte
Email: cairo.visa @ international.gc.ca
Gouvernement du Canada | Government of Canada

there is a slight difference in the signature than AbelAllah's email (perhaps it's only matter of different agent)
the email was sent from CAIROIMMIGRATION @ international.gc.ca
in my case I opened inquiry request from the website, did not send the email directly

I' am just trying to list all the information that can be useful and help us understand where we stand now
so please everyone here share what you have received with all the information possible

I have received the same exact reply as almohager, with the same signature. It was reply to an inquiry email to CPC-Ottawa. It might just be a different agent or different copies from which the Agent is copying alternatively from.

In my usual optimistic self, I would say that there were no necessity for them to reply if there were not any expected activity soon. What is more interesting is the "few weeks" indicated in the email. Which should mean that we should hear something in the upcoming couple of month... insha'Allah.

great, optimism is needed here :)
please advise the sender of this mail and if it was forwarded from CPC-O to Cairo Vo or whats the case here?

Great News. Thank you guys for sharing this information :)

Mine it came from CAIROIMMIGRAION @ international.gc.ca, so really strange to have differences, unless different agents as you mentioned, one more thing is I got it as a reply to an email not Case Specific Inquiry like you.

Let us hope it is the same meaning but different replies.

Did you both got it on 6th of May like me?

Dear all,
I also received the same mail from cairo visa office as a reply to an inquiry i sent earlier couple of months ago.

Sounds like CVO is moving on.

Those who did not receive any notifications so far shall not worry. I think they are only responding to applicants who raised inquiries.

All the best

Thanks Ramo, which format of email did you receive, mine on the one like what LifeXplorer got?

HI,

Did anyone who lived in Saudi in past got a request to submit a PCC from Saudi Arabia ??

But according to Saudi law one can only get a PCC if they are presently residing or a resident of Saudi, its even mentioned on the CIC Website.

What can be done in this regard ?? Please guide

Thanks

You can try this:
Get a police certificate from Egypt and send it to one of your friends in Riyadh attached with photocopies of your exit visa and your old Iqama or at least its number, he should go to Criminal Evidence in AlBataha and then for the computer room and to tell them that the Canadian Embassy needs a Saudi Stamp to declare that there're no verdicts on you while you were staying in Saudi Arabia.

To be honest this info I got from another Forum and I don't know if in Saudia will accept it when your police certificate is addressed to Canadian Embassy or not so my advice is to get 2 police certificates, one is addressed to Canadian Embassy and the other one is addressed to Criminal Evidence in Saudi Arabia and send both of them to your friend.

Two weeks since Cairo VO said they will start working on our files soon, any news?

No, nothing at all, I have not heard anything, nor heard of anyone who did.
