The time line, as far as I know, for the applicant who was stuck in Cairo VO back in 2013

Received at CIO: February 3, 2013
PER email: March 7, 2013

Update request: March 23, 2014
Medical Request: March 23, 2014
Medical Done: April 28, 2014
Update sent: April 28, 2014
Passport submitted: June 1, 2014
Passport returned: June 30, 2014

So, it took them about a year+ for the Medical/Update request...

based on her timeline and AbdelAllah's GCMS note and his conclusion below, we have rough estimate of the MR and processing dates that we hope its true, but since her case is not clear this might change things

Thanks LifeXplorer, this actually goes well with GCMS figures, for me they haven't started processing my file, and there are two "due dates" for doing eligibility assessments, both in July\August 2105 (a yeat from PER).

So if I compare this to the figures below, it seems Cairo VO will start working on our files a year from PER, so we may hear things in Sep 2015.

To my knowledge, her case was province nomination program, which qualified here to FSW. Then she got stuck in Cairo Visa Office. I believe, at least for the sake of optimism, her case is similar to ours.

Date modified:2014-11-04, yes that's the page update on the website its not related to your application with any means
you will find this in almost every page in CIC website

I have almost the same case as you. I applied from the US and was sent to the Ottawa Center. Now I am in Egypt and CIC asked for my passports. I told them that I am currently in Egypt so that I can have the visas printed in Cairo but I have not heard from then yet.
Do you have any idea how long does it take for the Cairo Visa Office to print the visas? Can you keep me posted with the news pls as I am extremely worried as CIC needs me to do my landing before June 1st and I am afraid I won't have enough time.

I recommend that you wait until the receipt of their request in order not to cause any disruption to the processing of your application.
