Hi,

Please find my details:

NOC Code- 2171
Appl recv date - Aug 27, 2014
PER email recvd - Dec 15

No comunication post this from CIC. I have not applied for PCC yet. What would be the next comm from CIC & when. In the PER email, they did not ask for PCC.
The next communication will not be from CIC but from your local VO, 45-60days from your PER mail. This is for the MR/RPRF and/or additional docs (if applicable). I suggesr you get your PCC now so that by the time your file reaches your local VO and the office asks for your PCC, you are ready to submit it. It won't be a bad idea to get your PCC early as it is valid for 1 year from the date of application. All the best! ☺

Dear sirajarab, I'm also intereted in this - received my PER in December, but want to renew my passport. Friends, please advise, what's the most appropriate time.
Renew your passport the earliest time possible so that when your file reaches your local VO, you may submit the supporting doc to them right away, avoiding potential delays in the processing of your application. All the best! ☺

Hi there. Thanks for your reply. One more thing. You have written that PCC s are valid for one year from the date of application. But as far as I know, VO will not accept any PCC older than 3 months.
For eg., I have my Indian PCC with me which was issued in July and by mistake I did not send with my application. So now when VO asks me for PCC and if I still send the one issued in July, that won't be accepted I suppose. Since the issuance date of the same is older than 3 months.
So I did not understand what you mean when you say PCCs are valid 1 year from the date of application. Can you please throw some light.

PCC are valid for 1 year irrespective of expiry date mentioned on PCC.... But when u are submitting the application to the CIO, if the PCC is older than 3 months.. they do not accept....

No u dont.. part of security checks is to get RCMP (Royal Canadian Mounted Police) clearance.. CIC will take care of it..

U may see RCMP: No reportable trace (in the GCMS notes, if one's record is clean)

During RCMP checks, if RCMP is is suspicious or for applicants from certain nationalities, RCMP may request for finger prints..

Hi guys,
My application was received on Sept 12 by CIC, CC charge on December 01. NOC 3012.
When I check ECAS it says in process and after..We received your application on xxxxxx.
I haven't get Per yet. Im very worry because I can see in the forum that Applications submitted after September 20 th have revived Per.
And apparently CIC is working on those applications by now
Do you think that I'm still in the process.
In case I receive NEr, when can I expect it? There is any notification?
Very worried and stressed.
Thanks for your advice.

I know a person, in the same situation, he applied on sept-11...cc on Nov26

Now, if NER, ur status will change to decision made or status will be removed from ECAS,,....

I suspect it could have gone for a second review or the officer working on ur file is lazy or having many docs to review...

Gud luck...

Hi,

Have you already sent an email enquiry to CIC? These will lighten your burden, atleast you will know your status from their response. It will take around 50days for them to reply. Hope you had sent an email around November.

I got their response Jan. 2nd, from which i sent the email on 4th November.

Hope it will help you. All the best :)

Better late than never - as the saying goes.. Wishing you a positive feedback from CIC. I hope you get the PER email first before the CIC response.

Just to add. I remember seeing from the other thread, same date as yours 18th August. He reported to received his PER just yesterday 7th January. So the hope is alive. It's been random now a days. Just hang on

Dmac, ksa, seniors,
after PER and before MR, background and experience check isdone.does background include police verification as well. In which case does the police verify with landlords of all addresses entered in application. With respect to experience check what do theyverify with each employer, does this include vwrificafion of duties aswell entered in app
I don't quite understand you query. But from my understanding, before they issue MR to you. They will conduct the background and experience as you mentioned. I believe the police verification will check you criminal records if you have any.. As for the experience, yes, your local VO will have a 3rd party to do their job on the verification. mostly they will just verify secretly, if there is really a need to call your employer or call you, it will only happen if they find your papers suspicious. If everything is well in order. MR issuance will be swift and will land on your inbox within normal processing times. :)

MEDICAL SERVICES IN CANADA

Guys, here is all what you need to know about medical services in Canada

Medical services are available from hospitals, doctors and other health care providers. Persons without health insurance coverage are charged directly for these services. Insurance coverage for essential medical services is available to all Canadian citizens and permanent residents. Each person carries a personal health card which must be shown at the reception desk of the doctor or hospital. Each province has its own particular requirements to obtain a health insurance card so it is important to contact a provincial ministry of health office in the province you reside.

How do you get a health card?

You can apply for a health card at the provincial ministry of health office in your city. You will find the address in the provincial government listings in your telephone book. Take with you your birth certificate, Canada Immigration visa (Record of Landing) and passport. Some provinces also request further documentation showing your name and address and your signature.

All members of your family must have their own coverage. Take their documents with you, and ask the government officer for information about registering them.

Who is eligible to receive a health card?

Canadian citizens and permanent residents are eligible in all provinces. Certain persons in Canada for a temporary period of time (e.g., temporary workers, holders of a Minister's permit, foreign students, and refugees whose status has been confirmed by the Immigration Refugee Board) are also eligible in some provinces. Essential health care services are available to refugee claimants through the Interim Federal Health Program at Citizenship and Immigration Canada.

How soon are you eligible?

Permanent residents are eligible immediately, except in British Columbia, Ontario and New Brunswick where there is a three-month waiting period. Persons in Canada temporarily and holding Immigration Canada documentation (e.g., temporary workers, holders of a Minister's permit and foreign students) have different waiting periods, depending on the province. For more information, contact the provincial ministry of health.

Is your health card accepted throughout Canada?

For permanent residents, your health card is primarily for use in the province you live in. if you move to another province, reapply as soon as possible. There are waiting periods before you can be covered, although you are covered by the health plan of the province you left for a certain amount of time. If you are visiting another province, your card can be used in an emergency. Residents residing in a province for a temporary period should contact the provincial health insurance plan office in the province, of permanent residence for further clarification concerning their coverage throughout Canada.

How are medical services paid for?

Most medical services are paid for by various tax measures. Basic hospital charges and doctors' fees are covered. Two provinces charge premiums (British Columbia and Alberta). In general, insured services are provided on a prepaid basis, i.e. provincial plans pay the hospital or doctor directly for services they provide to eligible residents.

What medical services are NOT covered?

Provinces do not pay for services that are medically unnecessary, such as cosmetic surgery. Some provinces provide coverage for non-medical service coverage, such as prescription drugs and assistive devices. These may require a co-payment by the patient.
