Hi both, to have an idea of CIC's response on your email inquiry. Normal times is at 45-50days.

I sent an inquiry to them on 4th Nov 2014. I recently received their response on 2nd Jan 2015. So your turn will come.

Hi,

Good luck on your application. This is the number to call to ask your UCI # (+16139444000). Try calling them 10am Canadian time. They are a call center service that has record of UCI # for CIC applicants. Just follow the numbers prompted to direct you to the correct agent.

When it asks you to enter UCI number just be on hold n let it say it 3 times then the call is automatically transferred to an agent
- Agent will ask information about last name, first name, date of birth, application received date, email id etc.

Just be kind to ask only for your UCI # as your a FSW 2014 applicant. No need to ask for you application status.

How would you get the Medical requests? On MyCIC account? On the email?

Where is your local VO brother? The Medical Request will be from your local VO's email address sent to your personal email from which you received your PER email as well.

How much time it takes for SECOND LINE UPDATE /MR...

Hi,

It depends on your local VO which is NDVO and consider the factor that they are conducting background and security check at this point after you received your PER. From what i know, 2nd line updates when that is done and expect to the MR email from your same VO. NDVO as based on this forum takes around 45-60days normal time after PER.

Thanks for very much bro. +1 for your info. Brother, so what is being said is the PR card formalities are completed at the port of entry itself. What else need to be done like insurance and SIN before applicant can return?

Yes brother, you need to obtain your SIN and health card as soon as possible. So i believe you can start to work on these on the next or 2 days after your landing. There will be centers who will help 1st time immigrants with all these, so no need to worry.

today i called cic and got my UCI no
when i tried to check status with correct information filled properly it says as follows

my VO is Vienna.
Will MyCIC account show that there is request for medicals? Now it says IN PROCESS.
The background check will be done before the request for medicals or after that?
Shouldn't I first receive confirmation from my VO that the file reached them?
I am just hoping to determine in which stage my application is?

after PER and before MR, background and experience check isdone.does background include police verification as well. In which case does the police verify with landlords of all addresses entered in application. With respect to experience check what do theyverify with each employer, does this include vwrificafion of duties aswell entered in app

There's a slim chance of rejection not unless there would be a problem with your medical, background and documents check. All the best!

I have received PER 18th DEC 2014 and now waiting for MR.
I applied for new passport as it was getting expired soon.
I got one today.
Should I now wait for my Visa Office to contact me for MR and then I update them for this new passport number etc.
Or should I submit now using case specific inquiry link for my visa office ???

Wait first for your Local VO to contact you before informing them of the changes with your passport. You will be given specific instructions on how to submit the relevant docs with changes. All the best!

Yes you will get an email from your Local VO re: MR. The email ad is dependent on the VO processing your application. As mentioned by other members, MR will reach your inbox 45-60days from PER mail. All the best!
