Thanks for very much bro. +1 for your info. Brother, so what is being said is the PR card formalities are completed at the port of entry itself. What else need to be done like insurance and SIN before applicant can return?

But not en-cashed yet
As per RBI, India DD is valid only for 3months.

But some agents are telling that CIC/CIO will have some additional privileges who can extend the validity of DDs. Is it true? If so, do I still having hopes for getting positive response from CIO?

Can some one help me and suggest how can I proceed further? By the way, I sent e-mail to CIO requesting the application status but haven't get any reply yet.

Thanks for replying. I took DD from ING Vysya Bank, bank manager confirmed that as per RBI guidelines any DD is valid for 3months only. I sent e-mail requesting status of my application, apart from waiting for some positive confirmation what else can I do? Please suggest.

Any applicant who received PER or going to receive PER will see INPROCESS

But, it means nothing......

Once if u click on INPROCESS and see only one line 1. We received ur application xxxxx... the file is still not touched by any officer and it is either waiting in q for review or it is in transit from cio to vo

If u click on INPROCESS and see 2 lines 1. we received.... 2. we started processing ur application on xxxxx

Yes... ur file is opened and reviewed by officer and actual process began, now the vo is checking background, authenticity of docs submitted and finishing formalities like medicals, criminality and security....

So second line is the indication that VO started actual process and Medicals on the way.....

(If u see the line 3. decision made vo will contact u with out medicals..... that means VO reviewed applicant's file and applicant failed eligibility and rejection letter is on the way to home address)

Just an expert advice,as i had applied in the month of august app recd date was 21-08-2014 later i got my package back as incomplete and re submitted on 22-12-2014.Now one document which was missing is sent to them so will they pick my file and check again or will they will process from where they have left.I was just anticipating when can i here from them as i have no clue.

Dear Pradeep Garu,

Even I had the same doubt regarding DD validity.All international DDs are valid for 6 months.Myself,a DD applicant got PR after 112 days....So dont worry..
