I haven't heard back about my application yet. It seems unlikely that I'll be able to get the visa and travel before my medical test expires end of March. I have a couple of questions and I'd be grateful if anyone can shed some light:

- When they request medicals be redone, will they also ask me to get new police certificates?

- How mcuh delay can I expect from retaking the medical test? Let's say my application is complete and they're about to send PPR, but they realize my medicals have expired so they request new ones. Will I get PPR as soon as the new medical test is submitted, or does the application go in a queue again and could potentially take few more months?
I will suggest you order your GCMS note to have a good knowledge
about any update on your file.
Certainly, you will hear from them by Jan 2016.
Good luck

What on earth is Bucharest VO doing?
Any new updates from anyone here?
They process one fsw file every two or three months, then return to the deep sleep.
Very frustrating and disappointing process.

Hi SS66,
I'm afraid there are no news from BVO except for Bobel's MR (congratulations, Bobel!)
I'm a 27 august 2014 FSW applicant and really begin to lose hope.
I wish if my application will be refused , they would do it earlier instead of keeping my family life in limbo any longer. Our plans for the future are on hold as we used to believe the visas should be processed in 13 months .
Hope we will get MRs soon .
Best regards,

I think it's a good thing you didn't get the MR yet. Otherwise you'd be in my situation where the medical test will expire in a couple of months and I'll probably have to redo it (I'm a July '14 applicant). And who knows how long that step will further delay my application. When they finally sort out their mess and you get the MR that will hopefully give you plenty of time to arrange your travel.

I'd wish you luck, but I'm just too pessimistic at this point :p

Best regards,

I understand your pain. Keeping us in a dense fog not knowing whether we are in or out is really tough and completely unfair.

I hope you will receive MR ASAP to alleviate the pain of such a hard and never-ending waiting.

Best of luck.

Yes dear Zaidka. You proposed a valid point... But do not know what is causing such a long delay for us....even can't imagine that a FSW will end up repeating the Medical check... I have not heard about such a case happened in Bucharest except for Quebec applicants. If this happened to you - I hope not and that you will receive PPR soon - it will be an unprecedented event happening for a fsw in Bucharest.

Another point here that I am sure if they are serious with our files, security check will not take more than 2 or 3 months even for nationals of Syria or Iraq. How did they manage to process more than 10000 refugee files in a month and a half whereas our files are kept in drawers without any action at all!

It's not the security clearance that's delaying our applications. I know my application has passed security clearance and is pending officer's review since October or possibly before that.

Does any one know whether they'll also ask for new police certificates when they request new medical test after the first one has expired?

Til now it never happened with a fsw applicant but in case with quebec applicants it happens that they require a new PCC. Did you raise a CSE? What is the reason of such a delay? You have to ask them!

We've got PPR mail :D :D :D :D
They also ask for RPRF.
All this happened on 6 January in a single mail!

Hi,

There is a probability to ask if the certificates are expired (of your country of residence only, I doubt they would ask for other countries).

Thanks Loom, that's refreshing to hear. I'm in Iraq and I can get the police certificate from here relatively easy. It's the ones from UAE and Syria that were a major pain to acquire. As of next week, I have exactly two months until my medical test expires, so fingers crossed. Who am I kidding! No, fingers are not crossed :p

Congrats bobel. Glad they seem to be working on our applications, albeit slowly.

Congrats Bobel!!!! I hope my meds and PPR are just around the corner :).
I've got my PER on 15.01.2015 and still no news with the meds (((

Alion4ik, did you ever write to the Embassy? What about gcms notes?
