Last response from them was on Oct 21st and they said my application is pending officer's assessment. Does that mean the application is complete and the officer is just not getting around to reviewing it?

I completely agree with your assumption that they are understaffed in such a way that only one or two officers are processing all files belonging to all categories (FSWs, Quebec, Family....etc) or some officers of Bucharest are relocated to Amman to process refugees files, so they can't find time to process our applications in a timely manner, but all of these are mere speculations and the real reasons beyond this delay are surely unpredictable.

Anyway, I think your case must be completely done as of now and just awaiting final approval by the officer. GCMS note could explain more.

I know that we all are facing special circumstances due to the refugee matter or maybe to some other issue that CIC did not declare yet however, anybody knows regularly how long it takes CIC to change a status from IP to DM? My status changed to IP 80 days ago. Any statistics or personal efforts to come up with an avarage? Thanks

Yeah, it's crazy. I'm a July '14 applicant and haven't received PPR yet. At this point I'm actually worried about having to do the medical test again because it expires end of March. Does any one know if the expiry of the medical test can cause a few more months delay? Would I be able to renew the visa if the remaining time after I receive the passports isn't enough to prepare for travel?

They also asked for financial documents again. Just a curent bank statement, not 3 or 6 months prior.
We have the medical exams in momday. Hopefully everything will be ok!

Congrats bobel!! Finally some good news coming from Bucharest VO. I hope they will continue with all the October applicants now. We are one week after you Oct 16 and PER - January 19. Fingers crossed!

I haven't heard back about my application yet. It seems unlikely that I'll be able to get the visa and travel before my medical test expires end of March. I have a couple of questions and I'd be grateful if anyone can shed some light:

- When they request medicals be redone, will they also ask me to get new police certificates?

- How mcuh delay can I expect from retaking the medical test? Let's say my application is complete and they're about to send PPR, but they realize my medicals have expired so they request new ones. Will I get PPR as soon as the new medical test is submitted, or does the application go in a queue again and could potentially take few more months?
