May I ask why your wife is advised to avoid travel? Many people falsely believe that air travel is dangerous to pregnant women. It isn't, unless her doctor has given her a specific medical reason why she should not.

If you will wait until the baby is born before moving to Canada you must inform the VO. You must wait until the baby is born, then add the baby to your application including providing updated forms for yourself and your wife, the baby's birth certificate and passport, updated proof of funds, etc. New PCCs will probably be required due to the lapse of time. After you add the baby to your application, processing will resume.

On the other hand, if you move your family to Canada prior to the birth and the baby is born there, it is automatically a citizen. Wouldn't that be better?

If you need your passport back to travel for work, explain this to the VO and they will tell you how to proceed. If they don't stamp it before returning it, you'll be instructed when to re-submit it.

Future_canadian has given you wonderful advice. I would suggest that you check with your Doc as after the first trimester it is much safe to travel. Also, rather that getting into all the hassles of providing proof of funds, BC, PP etc. it would be better that the baby be canadian citizen by the virtue of birth !!!

Hey guys,

one follow up with my previous post.. i just want to inform you that Paris Visa Office allowed us to submit our passports in Beiurt instead of Ankara :D
It is a happy news, our problem is solved now ..

Guys.. in the passport request email that we received.. Paris Visa Office asked us to submit our passports in Ankara..
I am Lebanese and I live in Beirut .. I asked the Visa office in Beirut if we can apply here, they said they can't accept our passports if the email does not mention their office.

I wrote Paris Visa Office an email asking them if they can change the visa office from Ankara to Lebanon..

They did not reply yet..

Have you ever heard about changing of Visa office at this stage ?
Or shall we start packing to travel to Ankara ?? :S
