I just got confirmation from Bank that my DD for name addition of my child has been encashed on 21st Feb'15 which was recd. by NDVO on 17th Feb'15.

I still awaits 2nd Line ECAS update........When shall I expect that.........

For the family of 2 -3 approx. 3000 to 4000 CAD in cash and as much as you can should carry in form of DDs and TCs. Also don't forget to declare if the amount exceeds 10K CAD

Quick question.

I am submitting my FBI clearance certificate today and that is the final document I have to send. Now, we are expecting our baby number 2 in July at what point in time I should tell Visa officer about it?

Will they make decision on my case before my child is born or they will defer the decision after my child is born?

Anybody in same situation?

You have to declare if you are carrying more than 10000 CAD in CASH on arrival at Canada.

Is it 10K per person or in total....

To all those who submitted their passports at VFS Mumbai, how long does it take for the tracking ID to be activated. I submitted mine on Tuesday and still the tracking id shows as invalid. Responses would be appreciated.

Dear forumites, a friend of mine is in a typical situation. He sent his medicals in Feb 2015 and applied for renewal of his wife's passport which was due to expire in June 2015. He has received his wife's new passport today and also received passport request letter from NDVO in the afternoon today. Pls advise how should he proceed with visa stamping now?
I have suggested him to send his wife's both new and old passport (which is cancelled now) with letter stating the reason for sending two passports. Does he also need to send generic form again with details of new passport? Or should he raise a case specific inquiry before sending passports?

Hi All,

Today I have collected my Passport with stamp and COPR, will be travelling next month.

I have a very silly question, someone already there in Canada might answer...i heard that Apple I phone that we have purchased from India won't work in Canada due to difference in technical specifications. Is it true? if yes then i will sell off my recently purchased I phone 6. Somebody pls give some inputs here.

Today its a DM on eCAS. After long wait 3rd line also updated along with 4th Line.

Earlier on 9th March i already received PPR. Submitted passports to Riyad VO through VFS on 12th March 2015.

Wait Begins for Visa & COPRs.

Hello,

I have received a PPR(Ready for visa) email from CIC Ottawa office Tuesday night.

And in that email, it was clearly mentioned to inform them about country of residence change of you or your family member(below note from PPR Email. Since my daughter is staying in India, We have sent out email to them to arrange her visa stamping in Delhi office.

We also called CIC agent and they have told us first mail our passport to Ottawa visa office along with the letter intimating about my daughter and get it stamp. Once we hear from CIC , then we can send our passport to NewDelhi visa office for stamping.

so we are mailing the passport today.. are we doing the right thing?
