If things were this simple :)....they are not.

Taking your parents along is what a good child of theirs would want. However, with Indian parents it's a very difficult decision. Unlike western countries, people here have relationships with their neighbours/friends. It's very difficult for them to be uprooted just for the sake of their child's future and start living in a completely foreign environment where they will hardly get to talk to a living soul (remember that most parents would not be able to speak good english in order to be comfortable, exceptions will be there). We can do it since we have got accustomed to the digital age. But people like our parents are not fond of digital gadgets or new hobbies (surfing internet, youtube, etc.). They want real people to talk to and relate in order to express their feelings. Few parents may very well agree to their children's wishes and go settle abroad with them, but I can strongly vouch that they will never feel at home over there. This in turn may lead to depression.

In the coming months I am also going to be personally torn with this decision, but I would not want to be selfish and force my parents to go with me. Agreed, I am their support system and things would be difficult without me and my wife and above all, my about to be a year old daugther :(. But I would not want them to be completely alienated on foreign soil, just for my mental satisfaction. That, in my opinion would be higlly selfish on my part. It's another matter for the parents to visit you for 4-5 months during summers (Canadian winters would be extremely harsh for them) than to completely shift with you. Needless to say, this is not going to be an easy decision to make.

Just my 2 paisa.

I am also in the same boat as you. It wud be advisable that Parents live with u in summers 4-5 months bt completely shifting can be done if u live in a neighborhood with mostly Indian pepl.

Guys ... Please help me out :-[ :-[ :-[ :-[ :-[

PFB my timelines for the file for NOC 2173:

App Date : Aug 05
PER : Nov 20
2nd Line : Jan 24
MR & RPRF : Jan 27
Medicals Done: Feb 07
Medicals Couriered : Feb 10

My Queries are :

1. My wife will be delivering baby by this week
2. Submitted her deferral form for x-ray and will be doing after delivery
3. Last date to submit the March 13

4. Raised CSE to inform NDVO twice about this and also requested to increase the timelines regarding the same, no reply from them. The CSE acknowledgement stated after raising the CSE was "if the queries dealt with adding newborn, the reply may or may not be provided but the file will be updated"

5. How will I be knowing that my file has been updated.
6. After I submit my wife's meds, will NDVO send some additional documents asking for the documents for my child ?

Will be waiting for your reply at the earliest

Thanks in Advance

You can try sending them email rather than cse as you ll have a proof of submitting your request also. Well they will entertain your request for adding child and submitting medicals for your wife even after 13 March As they have received your request.

But to be fully sure it is advisable to send an email too.

Good luck

Thank you for your feedback sir. Yes I had done my medicals in Jan 15 and it is received. This DM is 4th line. How long will they take to contact me now? Can you share some timelines on this?
Thanks

Without knowing your timeline it's difficult to say whether this is good or bad news? Does your ECAS show "Medical received"? If yes, and now it is changed to DM then it is indeed a very good news as you should be getting your PPR soon. Decision made prior to medicals is an issue and a sign of rejection.

Cheers!

Hello seniors,

I just got Decision Made "A decision has been made on your application. The office will contact you concerning this decision."

What does this mean? Will it be good or bad news? How long will they take to contact me?

Please advice...seniors

depends on what stage you are. What are your timelines?
If after mr recd status then it means ppr on the way. Else it may be an issue.

Verification if it happens takes places at the stage u r at and dun worry chances r first of all less if it does happen ur new HR manager might not be aware of ur past with the company. He will check and report according to ur work exp. So no need to worry just relax.

Thanks Simar

Dear Forum Friends,

Wanted to check on this point.
Till today morning i was able to see only one addres i.e mailing address of my Consultant in Canada but today on wards ,I am able to see two address in ECAS

1) First Address -Current Home Address in India

2) Second Address- Current mailing address -(Address of my consultant in Canada).

Still third line is not updated post medicals in Nov -2014.

What is the significance of two address in ECAS????

Any pointers from forum members

Yogi bear,

Same is the case with me. I am able to see my current address also along with postal address mentioned on the application. If you figure this puzzle out, please PM me as I am not regular in checking posts.

Considering my timelines...I am trying to find something positive in each and every action.

Untill yesterday e-CAS was showing only mailing address. This morning it has started showing my current home address as well...Does it mean NDVO has picked up my file to process further (MR)?

Any co-incidences?

[/quote]

Hi just now checked the ECAS it has both the address listed before it was just having the communication address listed what does this signify??

I already got MR on jan 9th and also medical received on 17th jan so any comments or Guess??
anybody else with similar experience ?
