Hi Friend,

Almost most of us are in a similar situation.
Think about it, if you were hiring a mid level position and got someone who has immigrated to India with no prior domestic market experience, no network, education credentials that you have no clue about, what would you do?

Same is the case when we migrate to Canada. We have have the knowledge but we need to give time to fit in.

As you are banker, look for bridging courses which will help you get an edge in the market there. Once you are at the MR stage, you will get a CIIP invitation, attend it to understand it much better.

The industry is bifurcated in regulated and non regulated jobs. If yours is regulated that to be able to work in it you need to certify in courses relevant to you area. Hypothetically courses like Canadian Securities course etc. Try to get that clarity.

Dynamics in Canada are different, different inflation, different cost of living and so on. Prep your self to stop the comparison with your Indian lifestyle and currency equivalent conversions.

On your NOC, why would Canada identify it as a immigration NOC if they had the resources to fill it up locally? Give it a thought. Competition is always there and that's what helps an employer get the best out of the lot.

Finally, don't expect miracle results. You may and probably will have to slog it out initially and should be prepared to pick you a job to meet ends while you follow your dream job.

All the best and trust me when I say, this is the best thing to happen if and when it happens. Now that you are in it, make sure that you see it through till the end.

Which Visa Office are the examples for?

Dear Deltario,

Thanks for reply. The thing is that I've never heard of a second update document request! Those guys were standing by to receive their PPR and shockingly they got emails asking for complementary documents. There were 4 people who got similar emails (fund detail, insurance and social security).

Could this be a random inspection to evaluate officers mistakes or frauds by applicants ?

Dear Friends,

I am a regular follower of this forum and i have an question i applied in NOC 1114 .

My file reached to CIC on 9 Sept and got PER on 20th Jan waiting for MR.Now i have total 10 years of banking experience and presently working in Bank as BM.

I have contacted some of my friends who are there in CANADA since last 4 to 5 years they have not given me good feedback about job market condition in Canada they said survival is not difficult but it is tough to find the job in your field and they also told that opportunity is not much and there is an stiff competition for the same job.

I dont mind to face competition but visa verse we should also look for better option .In India we generally get Average 10 % growth year on year and when i ask there they told avg growth is 2 % in Canada.they also told me that my work Experience of India will not consider there and also my MBA which i have done from here is also not suffice to get managerial job over there i have to start from scratch they told me that i have take some professional degree from Canada for getting good job. Last they all are agreed that life in Canada is very good in term of your children education and your personal life.

My question is that i am 35 year old and i am planing to go along with my family i e wife and daughter is it a wise decision to go there in search of good life over there and ls guide me what should i do to get job opportunity from India people are saying that it is very difficult to find an job there because i have very limited resourced for survival and i also have some existing liability like home loan etc in India which i have to manage both.

Kindly guide me regarding consultant or jobs portal through which i can start applying for job.
Thanking you all for reply.

Dear Forum Members,

Just an update.

I received my stamped passport in India with Canada Visas.

I would like to sincerely thank to all the fellow forumites who have helped me in the journey so far.

Now I guess the next phase begins getting into Canada and landing a good job.

I hope there is a similar excellent forum to advise on the same.

Hello friends,

The second line " medical result received" has been added to my ecas. My passport will expire in September 2015. I am thinking of renewing my passport before my PPR by Accra visa office. Please what do you think?

I also want to know the deadline from PPR to the submission of the passport.

Thank you

Hi,

good idea to get your pp renewed before PPR stage.

The could be victim's of a second level check.
However still the situation is unique and not a standard across the process. Usually the practise is to ask these documents before or along with MR.
Still, VO's have the habit of surprising, hence we can never be a 100% sure about any assumption.

All the best.

What is medical and rprf fees??

CAD 490 or INR 26700 per person above 18 yrs.
When you get your MR, you will get the official links along to check and make payment.

Hi Ashok

there are pros and cons of living in any country.. India is a comfort point, but Canada is a dream for many. I heard you can survive.. it may take some time to settle, but settle we all will. You are doing it for your kids.
