The deadline for medicals (30 days from the request)...is it required for the results to be uploaded within this frame/////

My experience at VFS (Bangalore), for sending passports to NDVO.

- You need two photographs, with studio name and date behind at least one of them. According to the person at the counter, these are just for verification, they are not printed on the file.
- This photo 'may' be printed on the COPR letter, though.
- If submitting passports on someone else's behalf, they may ask for authorisation letter.
- They will keep the letter + passports + photos in one single custom envelope that they have (you do not need to take any envelope).
- Just one copy of the letter is enough even if passports are multiple.
- They asked for old passport also (if you have expired/cancelled passport). They will clip it to the newer passport.
- They accept cash payment only. Cost is Rs. 638 per passport + Rs. 55 for SMS alerts (optional) per passport

- They take one day to transmit the passports between the VAC and NDVO
- I opted for SMS alerts, and will get messages when the passport is at the Visa Office

- When you get SMS that passport is 'out' of the Visa Office aka 'Embassy out' SMS, then the next day you can collect the passports.
- While collecting passports, you need to bring Govt issued ID proof.
- If collecting on someone else's behalf, you need a handwritten authorisation letter + Govt ID proof copy self-attested by that person.

The entire process at VFS took less than 5 minutes, very courteous staff :) .

Now fingers crossed, may we get the visas soon. And good luck to everyone, I'm sure you'll all get PPR very very soon :) .

Hi Everyone,

Happy to inform that got a mail from my consultant today morning.

It's PPR :)

APPLICATION RCVD: 26th May
PER: 14th Sept. UNDER FSW 1123
MEDICALS REQ: 14th Nov
MEDICALS DONE: 26th Nov
RPRF and PCC SENT: 3rd Dec
DECISION MADE ON: 22 FEB
PPR: 26 FEB

Congrats buddy...

Despite the continuous shower of PPR/DM from NDVO, I can see that there are nearly 160 may applicants still waiting for their PPR/DM :o :o :o :o
Even if I assume half of them to be active here, that's still 80 cases ..... ??? ???

Not such a great news for June applicants... is it?

Cheers!

Yes, infact I did mentioned NDVO as my visa office in form but they shifted a lot of application to either warsaw or colombo for load balancing. So, keeping my fingers crossed and hoping for the best. Good luck to all and +1 to you too.

I have submitted my application in December 2014 and there was no option to mentioned visa office. I received my PER recently. Do you recommend that I should call CIC to find out my visa office?

I want to give +1 for your support but it seems that I have to wait for 168 hours to give +1 ???

When you start the job (or are about to start soon), then you may intimate. Just holding an offer does not qualify for change in circumstances.

Hello Seniors,
Really need your advise here. I am getting too nervous now.

Files my application under 2174 category. App received date: 12th May 2014.
I was due in Nov end and informed the same to the visa office however I got my medical request along with RPRF, PCC which I had completed.
I then got my PPR request to be submitted by Jan25th. By that time I had just got my baby's passport done and I submitted all his papers on 13th Jan and then submitted all 3 of our passports (Mine, my spouse and my baby's) on Jan 24th.
Now VFS status shows that it is being processed at the NDVO office.
Also, my status of the application changed back to "In progress" from "Decision Made" on 12th Feb 2015. I am now waiting for my son's medical and have not received them for more than a month now. However, I checked with the bank and my demand draft was credit in the beneficiary bank in Jan only.
Do i need to keep on waiting for the medical request for my son or can I get it done on my own?
How long will it now take to get the mdeical request and then get our passports with visa?

Some one Please advise.

Please add your app details on your profile (and in SS if haven't already) so that people don't have to search in your post to understand your app status.

That's because the forms got updated (removed the option to select visa office) in october last week. I would suggest you to wait for a month after which you should receive AOR (or may be within a month) from respective visa office. I'm not discouraging you to call CIC but at the moment I don't think if the visa office matters until we receive the medical or you need to update them. So, relax and wait patiently. Its feels great to help or support someone.
