Guys,
I plan to submit Passport tomorrow at VFS, and have following queries, please help clarify them:
1. I have valid US visa on previous passport, after marriage I made a new passport. Should I include both passports or only the recent and valid one suffices?
2. NDVO has asked that behind one photograph, the name/address/and date of print should be mentioned. Is it OK if one of us write this, as Photographers writing is not at all legible?
3. Can the VFS fees be paid by Cash or Card right there at their center?
4. Other than the PPR email copy, should we include any cover letter from our side mentioning UCI of all applicants, OR its ok to not include it?

Anybody who submitted through VFS, please help with Answers

Thank you, and may god bless all waiting applicants with Medical/DM/PPR soon....

Hi Future_canadian,

Thanks for the reply.

It will help others too. Do you know how long it takes to get this SIN? Would we be able to get it the same day we apply?

You have to have landed. After landing, you are a PR immediately, and can work without restrictions. It just takes a while to get PR card. What you really need for working is your SIN (Social Insurance Number) which you can get immediately at any Services Canada office--most of the big airports have one right in the same area where you complete your landing process. Apply the same day you land.

Don't worry dear friend. Just one more line to get updated to PPR...........We are almost there. I think we will receive our PPR mails before the end of Feb..

My assumption is that your application has been forwarded for further background checks for the documents provided.

Kindly notify your employer/ referee for verification from CIC.

This is just my observation and kindly do not draw any conclusions or do not panic.

Senior members, kindly advise.

You will have a counter at the airport terminal to apply for SIN or you can just walk in to any Service Canada office. The SIN will be issued to you within minutes. Hope this helps :)

Do I have to take appointment to submit passport at NDVO vfs? Or can go directly? Also, how much cash I should carry for all the services?

No appointment required.
Cash for each applicant 600+
You need to have PPR Mail printout.
