Hi Guys,

App Received at CIC : 15 Aug
PER : Dec 5th
Second Line Update - Started processing file on Feb 12th

Any idea on when can i expect a MR

very soon

hello friends,

here's my perspective on ppr aberration.

1. NDVO has certain target to achieve set by CIC such as 9-10 months avg to complete applications- as seen in GCMS notes reported by our fellow applicants-- like one applicant of 5 may GCMS reported a 28-02-2015 for the completion. so now, due to large volume of application, they are not able to maintain their AVG given by CIC. so, they are sending ppr to recent application to offset the delay they have already created.

2. after PER, timeframe for processing started and MR request varies significantly. for example, i am 30th may applicant and MR recieved date is 4th dec. but there are many applicant of around 16 june who recieved MR recieved line before me... so these people getting PPR before me seems logical but at the same time it can't be ignored that many 1st and 2nd week may applicants are also waiting which can also be because of many other factors such as PCC, single applicant, countries visited, any red flag in security, detailed security checks etc.

3. may be NDVO is doing this deliberately to confuse applicants as well as CONSULTANTS on when is background check done for some security reasons. if it will be predictable, there as high chances of frauds... . by having this variations they nullified all the analysis, speculations done either applicants or consultants.

4. there is nothing we can do about it...we got to accept whatever NDVO do.
SO, WE ALL SHOULD BE HAPPY FOR ALL THE LUCKY PEOPLE WHO HAVE RECEIVED PPR EARLY AND PRAY TO ALMIGHTY TO SEND ALL OF US HAPPY NEWS SOON.

I PRAY FOR ALL OF US TO HAVE A SPEEDY PPR AND MOST IMPORTANTLY A BETTER LIFE WHEN WE LAND IN CANADA. ;D ;D :) :)

CONGRATULATION TO ALL MY FORUM FRIENDS FOR UR "DM" AND "PPR". :) :)

Dear smkb2014,
If u wish, request for GCMS notes...u will be knowing the exact status and can be a trigger on ur file to cic..

Do we have any solid evidence that requesting GCMS notes triggers faster action on apps? Or that it slows things down?

NDVO applicants waiting for PPR, I want to dispel one theory that was going around today in this forum. That, sending PCC along with one's applications is resulting in a faster PPR.

The reason I say that this is incorrect is by looking at timelines of harpreetnijjar88.
App. Date: 21 July 2014
PER Date: 14 Nov 2014
Medical Request: 12 Jan 2015
Medical Done: 23 Jan 2015
Third Line Updated on ECAS: 28 Jan 2015
Fourth Line Update (Decision Made): 24 Feb 2015

Assuming he sent his PCC alongwith application to CIC on 21st July,2014, I'm sure that his PCC would have been transferred to NDVO only on 14 Nov, 2014 when he received the PER. I mean, it doesn't make sense for CIC to start security check for applicants without sending out the PER (I don't think so they can assume that the applicant is eligible and hence his/her security check starts from day one of receipt !!). Now, it is also observed in this forum that there are many May applicants from NDVO who had done their MR in Sep/Oct 2014 and had sent their PCC along with MR. However, many such cases are yet to receive PPR :o :o... Hence, I presume that it is taking different time for security checks to be complete for each applicant resulting in random order of PPR. It has nothing to do with sending PCC along with application....

Diplomatru, Adisu01 guys let me know if I am wrong.

Cheers!

Thats right. earlier apps are pending for some other reason. There are many candidates among these who have sent PCC along with initial app. In spiite of this their PPRs are pending.

NDVO probably is taking up recent cases first and then will move to earlier cases.

This has nothing to do with PCC.

It makes perfect sense to me. However, the point still remains that the folks from late june and july who are getting DM/PPR are only those ones whose PCC accompnied the application.

May be...may be I am assuming the visa officers in charge here start background security check on two occasions:
1. When they start the processing of the application, see if PCC is there, kick start security check.
2. If PCC is not there then wait for the expiry date of PCC date request and then kick start the process (in some cases they may have delayed it even beyond that)

So in both cases, it all lies with the visa officer.

Diplo, CanOI, Adisu, Goku, Please help to solve this puzzle.

Waiting teaches toleration.
July 3rd. applicant. No 2nd line.
NDVO

Our friend harpreetnijjar88 is like the chosen one.
Dream timelines. Lucky guy. Wish him similar luck in all he does.

I strongly feel that the analogy of applicants getting DM quicker if PCC wasn't asked at MR stage seems true.

Leads to believe that when the VO got application and basis PCC took a call that its valid and triggered the security checks vis-a-vis in cases like mine where PCC was asked along with meds and hence the same would have been triggered late.

Still the delay should not be more than 1 - 1.5 months.
E.g. App Processing start on 20th Nov, PCC requested with MR on 26th Nov and given back on 26th Dec.
So the above timeline is an extreme and the delay here is 36 days.
But in many cases people hypothetically may have given docs say by 10 dec. In which case the delay is merely 20 days.

Personally, I feel this the best speculation on PPR so far. Most of it is also confirmed by data. Many people, who reported DM confirmed PCC not asked in MR stage. People like me and many more awaiting may applicants confirmed PCC asked at MR stage.
There will be the odd ones, but the logic is more inclined to beleive that PCC has a direct co-relation.

Sorry buddy can't give you +1, Karmafied, but thanks for a detailed explanation. (+1 Pending)

It surely seems correct to most of my knowledge.
