Hey,

how much time (approx) whole process took for you?

Thx.

Approx 4 hours (which included long waiting time between the tests). Overall it was smooth.

In addition,

If you are drawing a DD for CHC payable in New Delhi, if will be in INR and not CAD.

Suggest, save some moolah by paying the RPRF online in CAD and get the INR DD for child's inclusion in the application.

Dont stress much now and with each stage the wait is killing. Below are the possible rough timelines, can get extended, specially on point 2.

1) 90 - 120 days for 2nd line update. (We have started processing you application)
2) 7-30 days for receiving Medicals and any additional docs required mail.
3) 90-120 days for receiving PPR mail.
4) 7-15 days for receivng passport with Visa and COPR (if sent by VFS)

All the best mate.

Hi Rvp,

I was just about to come to that question and you answered that for me :-* :-*
I still have few more-
1) Can I use my debit card for RPRF?(Else I can still use my friends Credit card)
2) If I make a DD, can I do it in Dollars to save some money? (Payable to Receiver general for Canada at NewDelhi)

Thanks for your Help:) :) God Bless

what surprised me while taking appointment was that the guy said that NO FASTING REQUIRED.............does that stands correct??

Shah, this is a friendly argument. I might be wrong, but tell me why will CIC / VO ask for the PCC if they do not know you have traveled to Saudi before. How are they supposssed to know if you have not disclosed info greater than 10 years ? In that case does it not become the applicants responsibility to provide the PCC since the age of 18 years for foreign stay greater than 6 months ? If not provided, wont it lead to non disclosure of facts ?

Hi CaNol,

As we discussed last few days ago, CIC/VO/CHC has their own way of working.
One applicant from Dubai/LVO (from India) was not asked for Indian PCC in the MR mail & hence did not submit the same, they have got their stamped visa with the COPR 2 days ago.

But again, its a huge risk as the PR can be cancelled even after getting the citizenship, but again if that applicant was Indian citizen and had clearly mentioned it in the generic form, then I don't see the type of process which they (VO) follow.

Thank you for quick reply.

What is 2nd line update and how to check status? Anything mark as green is complete? What is the "withdraw"?

Sorry to fire so many questions but I will appreciate if you can provide an answer.

Hi

I received mine and my families' Temporary visa and COPR, we are in USA , want to know what are the next steps , do I have to schedule an appointment to get Permanent resident visa in Canada or just crossing the border is good enough.

I am not moving Canada permanently right now.

Having a meal or breakfast can increase sugar level in your body. So, I would say drink water (a liter or 2) before M.E incase if you eat something or just drink some water incase if you don't eat.

Yes. No fasting required. Just report at the helpdesk. They ll handover a form and assign a doctor to you.

Then just follow the instructions. Long waiting time between tests though.
First, chest x-ray, then physical examination, followed by blood and urine sample collection. Done.

Goodluck. :)
