CIC can examine ANY 5 year period it chooses, beginning on the day you land, and during that 5 year period you must have been physically present in Canada for 730 days (two full years worth of days). In other words, a new 5 year period begins every day. Suppose you land January 1, 2015. Between then and December 31, 2019 you must spend at least 730 days in Canada to retain PR. Between January 2, 2015 and January 1, 2020, you must also have spent 730 days in Canada to retain PR. And between June 1, 2017 and May 31, 2022, you must also have spent 730 days in Canada. And so on.

How can that be? If I land Jan 1, 2015, I'D have to apply for renewal at the most by Dec 31,2019 right (bcos the first PR visa expires on that date)? So in such cases why would CIC choose a 5-yr period between between June 1, 2017 and May 31, 2022?? To offset for any risks, that would require the applicant to ideally stay a full 5 years out of 5 years in Canada, because 2 years in one 5-year period won't qualify as 2 years in another 5-year period.....I got totally confused future, pls explain in detail what u mean....

Dear All,

I have applied for NOC 1112 on October 18,2014. It been 4 months that I have'nt got any reply from CIC about my application. Do I really need to wait now or should I apply under the express entry program.

Regards,
Sujeet Raja

I'm sorry to inform you that 1112 was capped in late July. Therefore your application is on its way back to you. I suggest applying under EE. Good luck.

How long will others have to wait for 2nd line update

Hi Do any 1 have an idea .. i have received this email from WES :

will CIC cancle my application or i still have a chance ??

CIC has informed WES that they cannot verify your ECA report. This is due to the incorrect application choice as the WES FSWP customized application was not selected.

In order for Citizenship and Immigration Canada to process your immigration application, they will need to verify your ECA report using WES's online service. To allow CIC access to your ECA report, you will need to order a duplicate report at https://www.wes.org/ca/apply/xcopycic.asp?

Best regards,
WES Customer Service

There r many applicants in the previous months who have got that error..the problem came bcos u did not choose the FSW Package from WES....follow the instructions in the mail u received from WES and pay the fees for the duplicate report immediately...

This just means that CIC is evaluating ur application, and ur on track to receive ur PER...so just relax...all applicants like u who had this issue reported their PER eventually, even though it will probably be slightly delayed by a few weeks :)

Relax...The best defense is being well-informed in advance so I recommend you to study the following thoroughly->

http://www.cic.gc.ca/English/resources/publications/dmp-handbook/index.asp (CIC Panel Physicians' Handbook-> what all they test for in Medical Exam and the checkpoints all laid down here)

Specifically for Hepatitis, read the following->
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/partner/pp/pdf/IMEI_Hepatitis.pdf

From the text, it seems they are primarily focussed on Hep B, & C since they r the most serious....I suggest dnt worry too much, and wait calmly for MR...

And take care buddy, jaundice is no joke....Ensure ur under bed-rest and watch ur diet very very strictly....All the best- Get well soon!!!

Hi Ritzy,

This is pretty normal. Just follow the steps given in the link on that email and you will be through.

Dear Friends
I was filling EE profile and noticed during family information it is not asking detail of children. Is there no need to give detail of children? Any idea
Thanks

This is probably not the right forum thread for EE queries. However, from basic knowledge, I can tell ya that in the initial check they want only those details which could decide your eligibility such as your qualifications which determine your points and your background / security info to determine your admissibility!

You children are part of the visa applications, however they in no way affect eligibility of your application.
