Hi Seniors,

I have the UCI number , but as soon as I enter , it says either it is not correct or processing hasn't started yet etc ... what is the matter ? Is this normal ? Having said that , I didn't receive any PER email yet. I got this by calling the CIC office ... Please advice.

NOC : 2172
I got my PER on 16th Nov 2014
Got MR request from NDVO on 20-Jan-2015

Now since 9-Aug-2014 I am in U.S (L1-B, Inter company Transfer).

Queries:
--------------------
1. I had completed my 6 Months of Stay here in U.S on 8-Feb-2015 and had already applied for U.S Police verification with FBI which will take around 14-16 weeks to come back, Now my question is will the CIC will really ask for it , I mean what is the cut-off date they will consider i.e. the Date i received my PER / Medical request or till i don't get my PPR request.

2. My Wife is also with me and we are expecting our 2nd Baby here in U.S by 20-Mar and she did'nt undergone the x-ray and her Medical is withheld for now where as mine and my daughter's Medical is already done and send to CIC on 11-Feb, the same is not updated yet, will it get updated at ECI or it will not get updated unless my wife's Medical is also done.

3. Should I apply for PR for my 2nd baby who is likely to be an American citizen by birth as per the U.S naturalization law.

Big Thanks in advance
Atul

1. Yes you will need to submit US PCCs for yourself and your wife.

2. Congratulations on the baby. I believe the third line will not be updated until medical results are received from all applicants.

3. Do you want to bring your baby to Canada? If so you must add it to the application.

Hi rebell,

Yes, probably the UCI is still not active. Keep trying off and on.

Seniors please suggest a query from a friend of mine who doesnt want to reveal his identity here

the query is, he was a resident in the UK along with me for 4 years, however, due to an argument with a internet service provider he stopped paying the bills, and while leaving the country for good he also abandoned from paying his phone contract (which he anyways fulfilled the contract term, but dint cancel it so it went on) and also few utility bills.

now the credit history is badly hit, obviously.

he wants to apply for express entry but he is worried if CIC verifies credit history too of an applicant during the Background checks

Is it so? Do they check for such things too in the background checks??

That's great news... Atleast we can be sure that NDVO has not gone into hibernation mode...

Looks like whatever I was told seem to be true

Friends believe it or not. July applications PPR would begin March end and will continue early days in April - Its not a wild guess . I spoke to a ex Locally sourced Visa officer who confirms it.
If you ask me how did i get the contact - LinkedIn paid service and a little social engineering .....

Does your contact know anything about HKVO?

Don't worry. Just remember to take cough syrup before the test.

People do cough when they're affected by TB, however having cough doesn't mean that you've TB.

Check out TB symptoms here, unless you've multiple of these symptoms you shouldn't be worried:

http://www.cdc.gov/features/TBsymptoms/

In general, Canadian govt gives time to for disease which can cured. In cases such as HIV infection, people cannot be cured so it would result in outright rejection.

Thanks a lot Jaxon. +1 to you.
Yes. Actually I am planning to go to a clinic tonight to schedule for a check-up. In that case, i'd be able to know if there any issues with my health. ;) ;) ;)

can you elaborate please??

so far he hasnt heard about any such legal proceedings because it is not a crime

From my knowledge, the companies are covered for such things by insurance and unless he isnt in the country it wont affect him (i mean to get loan, get a phone contract, etc)

But I too am not sure what is checked in the Background verification so need some expert analysis here

to make sure [size=14pt] while I applied for the PCC from UK he too did, and his PCC is the same as mine, "NO TRACE" - meaning CLEAN record.

Dear all seniors,

What is the latest MR receiving date.

Plz its urgent.

Vish,

You can do following things before you apply :

1) Apply to Experion and get your credit history details;
2) Check if any debt collection agency has been appointed for recovery and if so, that should be there on your experian report;
3) Check if they have initiated any legal recovery ( Highly unlikely as your friend has travelled to another country, so they might not go in for this ) but check it

If there is no debt collection agency and no legal case filled, there is no risk, though ask him to approach all those agencies and settle the payments for his own interest;

If there is any debt agency appointed/legal case filled , then approach them and hire a debt resolution agency and settle your debt and get your records cleaned.

Hope this helps. If nothing is worked out, then this might create negative credit history in Canada if the debt agency is an international one and they locate the identity. So its is good to clear these issues through a settlement mechanism, even if their demands are undue, you can always fight through debt management agencies there.

Usually a company will not get involved in legal process as the recover cost could be higher than the outstanding amount.

Why credit history is not a hindrance in my opinion is because the same can be a result fo wilful/erroneous actions.

Background check mainly covers the validation of the documents provided by us (education, POF & JD vs NOC applied). If VO is satisfied that's it else a field verification gets initated.
