Hello seniors,
Can someone give me some advice.
I am an Indian currently residing in Germany.
I will be here till mid June, and my stay might get extended as well.
I am a FSW applicant and had my Credit Card charged recently.
So I am expecting PER and further document requests over coming weeks.
My query is around Police Certificates. In last 10 years, I have lived in UK, India (Bangalore) and Germany.
So I understand I will need PCC from all 3 places.
Can you please advise:
i. The validity of PCC? PCCs are valid only at the time of issue but it says CIC accepts PCCs within 6 months, check corresponding PCC issuing websites for more info
ii. Considering I might get PER in coming weeks, will it making sense to start working on PCCs now and have them ready to reduce delay. I suggest that you apply for PCC in India and UK after receiving PER, not sure how long German PCC takes so cant comment
iii. For UK PCC, does it make sense to take the express service which is costlier. They also have an option for speedier courier. Does that make sense? Has someone tried it. I applied for the Premium service to get my wifes and mine as I was in a rush to send my application with PCC included I received it in 7 days, in your case you dont need to spend so much, be ready with your required documents to apply for UK PCC along with the payment, send it off asa you receive your PER using the standard service, it will take upto 20 days to get it delivered
iv. For German PCC, normally German residents can get a PCC from local registration office. Though I do not have German citizenship, I do have a German residence card and work permit, and I am also registered at the local meldebehörde. Does it make me eligible to get the PCC from meldebehörde? Plz share if anyone has experience.no idea
v. For Indian PCC, I understand that PCC can be normally taken from either Passport office or from Police. However, I realized that Indian Consulates abroad also provide this service. Do you think it will make sense for me to apply at Indian mission in Frankfurt instead. Will it be accepted by CIC. The mission office is a short walk from where I work.no clue
Thanks for your help.
Cheers.
