My ECAS status just seen new update of 2nd line today only.

1. We received your application for permanent residence on August 15, 2014.

2. We started processing your application on February 6, 2015.

That means now only they have opened my file and they will initiate security and background checks or it is already completed now just need to wait for MR... please reply i am really tensed.

GCMS Created : 12-Jan-15
GCMS Received: 10-Feb-15
Application Received: 15-Sep-14
PER Received on: 14-Dec-14
File Received at VO: 6-Jan-15 (Location:Registry)
Last Location of file: ECU-FRP (Location:Economic Class Unit-File Ready for Processing)

Paper files are transferred to VO and it hardly takes 20-21 days for transfer. Kindly make a note, GCMS is a month old. I hope the file is already assigned to officer right now and hope to get medical in a week time.

Pretty much nothing to add since the file is sitting at the registry waiting for an opening at an IPA desk. Once it is there - expect selection decision (same eligibility review against MI as at CIO stage) and starting assessments (MR and stuff). In the meantime you can obtain PCCs (if applicable) and ensure that your PPs have validity over 1 year. Best of luck!

For now they are going to initiate Eligibility & background check including criminality.
Btw why are you feeling tensed, there is nothing to worry about.

A quick question, If the dependent applicant wants to change his job does he have to inform NDVO, also would it be a advisable to change a job now as we are awaiting medicals

Change of Job for the dependent is certainly not an issue at all.

for the primary applicant too its not an issue but you are requested to inform VO as soon as the change happens just to be safe.

They are more interested in your 1 year of experience in your (primary applicant) NOC under which you applied

The former assumption is true.

For now such applications have been reported to be transferred to Colombo or Warsaw. But they may designate some other offices late December applicants. Impossible to say, really, unless you contact CIO (reply time 60 days)

Is there any chance that the file is still with NDVO. That's y I am not getting AOR. Do u have any idea from which date applicants are move to other visa offices .

Just to inform that I was rejected on Jan 12th, but had just received the package back yesterday. The good news is that appearently the NOC 1123 started to move again. The reason stated was that the letters I sent were not enough proof of my work experience.

I have got my MR/RPRF today. NDVO

App date.: 1/08/14
PER: 25/11/14
Processing started: 28/1/15
MR/RPRF : 11/02/2015.

But serious concern is that I have not received MR for my new born kid ..

I have already sent them baby's documents on 30th Jan 2015 via CSE along with revised POF.

Also I have not received my PCC request. (Although I had sent them PCC at the time of application i.e. 1st Aug 2014 but that PCC was going to expire in the month of SEPTEMBER 2014.)

What could be the reason for not receiving my PCC request and baby's medical ?

Please shed some light friends ... I am really bothered right now.

it doesn't work that way. primary office is assigned at CIO, so if the designated Colombo - the file goes there straight. NDVO is not involved in this transferring routine. Check out Warsaw VO thread to get an idea of applicable dates

Probably, they were satisfied with your PCC as it was valid at the date of receipt. MR for your kid will take time (1 month or more).

Have tried to get UCI number by dialing to CIC Call center, but they are refusing to provide any details and asked to drop a mail to CIC.

I had received my PER on 6thJan'14 and I had applied from India so I was expecting my documents to be transferred to High Commission in New Delhi right ?

However my files are transferred to Sri Lanka High Commission and I received the mail confirmation for the same stating that this is done to process it faster ...

Is this okay ... I am a bit concerned ..

U meant 6th Jan 2015 right?

The GCMS notes will be useless at this point. Be patient. Back in the day, we had to wait over 120 days for PER after submission.
