My people, my people...

With joy in my heart, I will like to announce that I just got my PER like 5 minutes ago
Application received on the 12th Nov 2014. DD got charged on the Jan 14, 2015 according to the PER mail.

No 2nd line update, i think its too late. I am very worried, maybe CANADA is not to be for me.

Not yet buddy, waiting anxiously for the update.

Cause of worry is that some of our buddies having similar timelines are getting second line updates and MR mail but at the same time there are others like me who are still in the queue and this relieves me to some extent.

Different ways of convincing yourself and keeping yourself calm :)

I guess people who have submitted PCC with application are getting Mr late

Two days back we saw few PPR but again they stopped it....

NDVO is checking our patience.

I am May 28 applicant, received PER on Sep 19, Medicals done on Nov 4 and third line updated on Nov 13....and the wait is still going on...

Not sure when we will get Decision Made status.. This time is killing us not able to concentrate or plan..

Not able to decide if we should resign or still work ....

DITTO ??? :'(

Well than you may have to wait longer because as per my observation I guess that applications with PCC included have to wait longer

What is the best way to show POF at the time of port entry ?

1. Travel cheques
2. Travel Cards
3. Opening an account from India (in which we can put CAD and which can be later activated in Canada )

Please suggest .

Hi Harinder,
The best way to show POF at the port of entry is Travel cheques
All the best!!

ok thanks managersonline, amit2canada, kris and Vande Matram for answers.

I think the weird thing about my application is that Visa Officer has send kind of custom email to me. He asked for RPRF, MR and PCC in one single email. He also specifically mentioned that because my passport is expiring in November this year, he wants copy of renewed passport passport.

And at the bottom of the email he mentioned that deadline for all of these is 30 days. Emails with MR IME number document didn't have any deadline info.

Dont worry,
get your medicals as soon as possible and write to Vo right away asking for more time for new passport

What is the london visa office enquiry email address i want to contact them for informing about my new born, can it be done through Case specific enquiry online as well or we are supposed to send it through email

send it through Case Specific Enquiry...
Immediately after raising the query, you will get acknowledgement email from LVO about the mail received....

There had been lots of discussion around security checks taking 4 months or so like in case of brother who has reported request for Australian PCC after four months. I am wondering how is it fast for VOs like Sao Paulo (Take for example LuandMu from the SS - he is August 29 applicant with MR on Jan 21 and already having PPR).

Or are we trying to say that it is based on:
(Security Check initiated + Security Check Completed) = 4 months

And in this case, NDVO is not even starting the security checks for 4 months like evident from RahulPune's GCMS file of yesterday.

I'm a bit late for the discussion, but just my 2 cents on why SPVO is so fast:

1. There are not so many applicants; SPVO caters only for Brazilian applicants;
2. They have managed to clear the backlog completely; so they start right away; I know somebody that went from Application arrived at the CIO to PPR in 115 days;
3. We have all documents CIC wants. Birth certificate, IDs.. Plus, the Brazilian government made a huge effort to digitalize everything. So most of us can order our BC online, and it comes with a validation code.
4. Same thing for the PCC. We order it online, it comes up instantly and it has a validation code;
5. Our IDs are complete, with parents name and ID number. All the other documents come with ID number as well for easy validation.

So when the file arrives to the Visa Officer, not only they have everything on hand per the checklist, with no need to check affidavits, they can also validate the authenticity online.
It's easy for them.

hi guys happy to announce today my third line got updated

Dont worry may be since you submitted the PCC along with Application your security and criminality check is already started
When you get your MR and it is received by VO and after the 3 line update in Ecas the wait till PPR may be less for you than the rest of the applicants.

Each case turns out to be different once in a while and you my friend may be that lucky one
