Hello, Just re-posting my query.. if more people can answer..

For Primary Candidate who is renewing their passport, and was married after last passport was issued.. Is it advisable to change the name on the passport (surname change only) or should it be kept same ?

The application was sent with previous name and since it is now in progress would it be issue if name change happens in between of process ?
If the name change happens, how should it be updated on application or should it be just informed to concerned Visa office when the file gets transferred ?

Also, spouse details have been sent with the application already.

Hi all, I have started feeling very depressed now.....look at my time line....everyone is getting either the 2nd line update ir MR requesr :-[ :-X :'( I hv no idea whats happening to my application....I got per mail on 26th nov....why is this happening with me....can it be because of long travel history....but majorly all short trips...I m just very worried :-X :'( ....cant concentrate on my work atall....dont feel like eating. ...I am very depressed. ..... :-[.....god bless us all....

No need to get depressed especially when we know the state of affairs with NDVO. Just cheer up, you are still ahead in the race from all those who are planning for EE. My best wishes and God Bless.

Dear All, This is just to make u cautious that Your Local Visa Office may check your LinkedIn , Facebook and Twitter Profile for background checking.


Usually most of the background checking responsibility is handed over to third parties which can includes employer verification/police clearance confirmation etc. So who have these Social website profiles are suggested to sync with ur application provided job designation (or "Make Invisible to Everyone" on privacy settings).

I have observed one Indian applicant (on 2012) whose Linkedin profile was indicating that he had worked on Law background but he is an Electrician under which he applied...

Later on he was asked for an interview by his Canadian Case officer...She behaved so rudely with the applicant for the mismatch between his application and LinkedIn profile.

As per applicant, he was actuaally an Electrician but he had taken law degree beside of this and practiced for this law activities.He have not declared his law degrees and jobs on his Schedule A background declaration form. Later he admitted his fault that he hid on his app.

The case officer was not satisfied what applicant declared on the interview....

That thread member have not updated his status later.

Good point is the forum is self disciplined. And my sense is that off-topic things start only in the absence of some materialistic updates like PER, MR and PPRs which are on dwindling side off late. The reason why I am asking the same is that my second line is updated intimating start of processing of my application since 12-Jan-2015, but I have not received any PER e-mail. I contacted CIC on e-mail and they informed that they sent me letter on my e-mail on 15-Nov-2014 which I have not received till date. I am bit concerned that in future I may also miss e-mail from CIC or NDVO.

I got my UCI on phone.

First of all, +1 back to you. Secondly I am already practising Canadian style date format. It is 07/04/2014, which means July 4th, not other way around.

Dear rkdhawan1968, you will get MR through e-mail only which u'v mentioned on ur application.
delhi-im-enquiry@international.gc.ca, DELHIIMMIGRATION@international.gc.ca. you can add mails mentioned here on ur contacts as u may rcve ur MR from either of these two id...

Hello, dear friends! i am 6th November applicant on the NOC 2132. It hard to believe, but as far as i can understand, the last en cashed was on the 3rd of October. Does anyone knows whether i am already out of the game or something is wrong with the process according to our NOC and i am just still wait some more time. 80 days have already passed.

My spouse completed sputum medical test today. Hospital telling I need to wait 60days for Result. Y this much long. Then 2nd XRay.

Whether anyone gone through this. Pls share ur exp.
