Hi Palak and other seniors,

I recently visited a consultant (*****) at my hometown in Gujarat. They offer placement and settlement services for immigrants wherein they conduct a 2 day workshop in Mohali (head office) to get us trained on how to get jobs in canada of our respective profiles. Moreover, they help in preparing our resume as per canadian job market requirements. further, once you land in canada, they offer another 2 day workshop in canada wherein we are trained to crack the interviews and get ourselves adapted to canadian work culture. They also promised me at least 4-5 interview calls pertaining to my profile (entry level). For this, they are charging 1500 CAD (approx 90K INR). Is this worth??? what is your frank opinion on this??

Trust me brother....they are jus fooling around....i guess you are talking about wwics....if yes den i hav been there victim....so i think you should not waste ur valuable money in dese services....especially in infia...wen u land in canada there are some organisations which provides these services on whom u can trust....so decision is urs. ...tk cr

Guys is there any link between app date and PPR issue ? I think it only depends on when immediate stage process is completed ..what say ?

If those 5 starts (*****) mentioned means the name of consultant is in 5 letters only ..
Then I have guessed the consultancy you are talking about

I guess its world wide immigration consultancy services. ...starts with W...am i right...

Congratulations for second line. This exactly mean what is written there "We started processing your application on January 15, 2015"

They may or may not do background checks, verifications etc.

Next step is MR in about week to 10 days time.

Thats correct!
VISA validity counts from the date of Medicals.
so even if VO takes longer time to get PP stamps > applicants has lesser time to land to desired country.

Any idea how many days would the GCMS / CAIPS guys take to reply as to what is the status of the file?

Would they keep informing as to what is happening on the file, everytime they work on the file,
or is it a one time information?

Nishesh Bhai, Congrats on MR, just saw your message on Forum, so though to suggest you something.

1st priority is do Medical of whole family/Dependents along with you asap if everything is fine and normal (like BP, sugar, etc.)
Because, your 3rd line will be updated within 10 working days from Medical done date, irrespective of whether you couriered the docs to VO or Not.
Courier containing PPR1 bio pages, RPRF fee, MR slips, etc, you can send later say after 40 days or within 45days BUT Medical do it asap and Clinic will upload your reports to VO, they don't required Slips initially.

Yes, the validity on your visa start from the Medical Done date to next year same date (1 year) in you must land in Canada - irrespective of whether it takes the VO another 3 or 4 months to stamp your PR VISA (which effectively reduces my landing window) ? Same happened with me I am told to do further tests which will reduce my landing window by 4-5 months.
