Happy to share that I got Medicals today along with PCC and RPRF request. App rec date 21st July, PER 17th Nov.

But they has asked for Saudi PCC as well As i stayed there back in 2006-7 but not continuously. was there for 89 days in first go and got back to India for 15 days on vacations and then got new visa and visited KSA again and stayed there for 107 days on a stretch.

Q1: Is there any chances of getting this PCC waived off ?
Q2: Whats the best way to get the PCC from India itself . how long it takes to get this PCC from new delhi embassy of KSA ?

Guys, I need help and advice on this one. Here's my current application timeline:

Application Received at CIO: August 27th 2014
CC Charged: November 21st 2014
PER: December 14th 2014
Medicals Request: December 30th 2014
Medicals Done: January 12th 2015
RPRF E-mail: January 19th 2015

As you can see, my application process was EXTREMELY fast. I even just got a visitor visa for Canada because I have a trip planned to Montreal and Toronto on February 3rd. I'm starting to think I'm going to have to do my landing already.

What I'd like to know is that if I do my landing right away next month, how long will my PR card be valid for? I mean, during the upcoming years until my PR is valid, what is the lenght in period that I have to remain IN Canada. I wasn't expecting having to do my landing so quickly! Please advise! Thank you!

Correct my understanding. On or before 15 Jan, CIO already did initial scan of documents. Between 15 Jan and now is just a few days. Most people at this stage won't know the application status, i.e returned or in queue for CC/DD charging.

How did u derive to this info/conclusion.

I think that you will be safely in the CAP. Because as per my understanding that CIO have already exhaused on or before 15th Jan 2015 all the applications lying at their offices. And applications are either considered in the CAP if complete and cap is not filled or returned back to the applicant after completeness check. Therefore i think those applicants of December who up till now did receive back their application parcel would be safely in the CAP. Regarding your job I think that it will not be a problem. It will be considered as typgraphical error which you can clarify at later stage.

My application under NOC 2173 reached CIC on October 14 2014. I still did not get any communication from CIC on my package and i am not sure if i had made it into the quota. Let me know how can i approach CIC via email/phone to check on the status of my application.

Meanwhile, is it possible that i could also apply under the Express Entry now? Please share your suggestions.

Yes.. go ahead and apply under EE. Its a good plan. If you get reply from fsw 2014, then you can always withdraw the EE application

Thanks for your reply. I haven't actually gotten PER via e-mail (I have my e-mail address in the application form so I know this won't come via snail mail) but I have the same status:

1.We received your application for permanent residence on October 22, 2014.

Is this normal?

In my case my ECAS profile had been live for 5 days until the PER email actually arrived (ECAS live Jan 13th, PER Jan 18th). You will get your PER soon!
