Thank you for the invaluable information and support.

Now I also need to give PCC. The address which is mentioned in my passport , I have given that for reconstruction because of which I have moved to a rented house temporarily. I am a resident of Delhi, India. How should I proceed for PCC because I suppose police verification will be done at the address mentioned in the passport.
Please provide inputs, Thanks.

Hey Folks,

22 months is the general term they use, if you see last years' Fsw - it was an average of 10 - 14 months for the max. of applications converted to PR visa from NDVO.
so do not let any negative or demotivating ideas to you mind. This killing time is really killing us, but trust n faith soon we all will be kissing our passports !

Hi friends,

In India for PCC, police verification happens at current residential address or the address on my passport.

My timeline
App rcvd 16th October
CC charged 22nd December

[Application Status Update]

NOC: 2281
Application Filed: July 10th 2014
Payment Charged: October 29th 04:52 PM IST Citibank Credit Card
Positive Determination Of Eligibility: November 6th 09:20 PM IST
ECAS 2nd Line: January 16th 2015 (We started processing your application on January 13, 2015)

On a side note:

There have been a LOT of applicants who have had their applications progress much ahead in comparison to mine; them being applicants from mid to late July. So for applicants who are waiting in line, looking at others progress should know, understand and believe that once the application is transferred to the Local VISA Office, date of application submitted should not be taken as an 'indicator' of any sort (not that it means nothing).

I have also come across people speculating such cases being favored ahead as the applicant might have had work experience in "Large MNCs" (I mean MNCs are "large" anyway :) ). To this I would say - I have worked in 3 Organizations including the present one. ALL the 3 organizations are 'LEADERS' in Banking, Financial Data Services and Loyalty Analytics. My application is "COMPLETE" with PCC and no substituting documents, which means Original Birth Certificate and Experience Letters. I still got jack (until today, if I may say so). Therefore if there is an applicant who would like to believe that he or she has been left high and dry because there Organization is not listed on Wall Street; I would say go easy on yourself.

Understand this: VO's work like The Flintstones. They lift the wheels and run with their feet, if you know what I'm saying.

Good luck!

I just loved the way you put your thoughts :P

- In Hyd, If the current address is same as the address on the Passport or if we live in the same city for more than 1 year in a different address. we get the PCC from PSK on the same day. If you are staying in a different city from the address mentioned on the Passport. Then your application goes to the Passport Verification Cell. The file moves physically from PSK to PVC. So this step might take time. After the file comes in , it has to be entered into the police records. That takes 2-3 more working days. Then a field officer from the area of your current address is assigned your file. He can take upto 3 days to come to the house and make the file. Then the file is physically returned to the RPO. Then the RPO scans the file back into their system and you would receive an sms to come and collect the PCC

Again this is my personal experience with Hyderabad PSK (Passport Seva Kendra) or RPO (Regional Passport Office)

I think you need to produce address proof for the residential address. It could be anyrthing like bank account with nationalized bank, or telephone connection bills on your current adress or electricity bill, or lpg connection proof at your acurrent address.

If you have one, you should be fine.

Call on 18002581800 to check further details. This is psk customer care number.

I could see few complete their MR, RPRF 1.5 months back but still haven't got their 3rd line updated , i am one among them. If VO is in One country and if we did Medicals in other country will there be a delay, there are couple in this pattern who are facing the same issue. Can you please share if you have any inputs?
