Hi, Friends

as stated by some friends that opening a account in scotia bank is simple and hassle free and can be used for depositing our indian rupees into CAD. Can somebody put some further light into the process :

1. Means if I need 25000 CAD for showing as proof of funds during landing in CANADA. what amount actually i need to deposit in scotia bank and what are the other charges bank will deduct from my deposited amount.
2. Is it cheaper transaction then purchasing a DD for 25000 CAD from ICICI bank.
3. Is it cheaper to purchase travelers chaque for 25000 CAD and then submit the same in canada bank after landing. because i heard that travellers chaque take commission on both ie during buying and selling/ depositing the TC at canada bank.
4. Suppose with scotia bank....the process is cheaper (means less deduction during rupee to CAD conversion) then what scotia bank will give to us as a proof of funds to show at airport during landing. because in scotia bank we are able to deposit / do the transaction from india only once.....means we can only deposit money in indian rupees once only......rest action can be done only we reach canada and make this account functional.

friends kindly suggest me a suitable way to carry my funds..lots of discussions are already on blog...saying take DD / TC/ some cash in CAD or USD....but no body has actually given some figures that which one process is more easier and decuct less indian rupee to CAD.

kindly help me out...

Regards

Chak

Friend for different options. you need to contact different vendors and take the quotations and compare.

Still i feel, that opening bank account in Delhi with scotia will becheaper option as compare to others.

Point no 4. Better contact on given number. and once again i m explaining, please treat that you are sitting in Canada and dealing with Canadian SCOTIA BANK. They will just accept your INR and convert the same to CAD here. The account openend will be desired State (In canada) Scotial bank.

YOU CAN GET CERTIFIED BANK STATEMENT FROM SCOTIA BANK AND SHOW THE SAME TO CANADIAN AUTHORITIES.

PLEASE CALL ON GIVEN NO. and ask them.

Hope this clarifies

Dear all forum members and seniors,

I have received an email today regarding MR along with RPRF. :) :) :) :) ;D ;D

Received application: 31st July 2014
PER: 25th November 2014
MR and RPRF: 13th January 2015

But I haven't received 2nd line update in ECAS yet.
Is this an issue?
And don't my spouse receive her UCI number?
When will she know her UCI number?

I really appreciate your response.
Thank you

Hey Shweta .. PER comes from CIC and not from NDVO :)

Congrats first of all...

This proves that NDVO not sleeping ;D

All of a sudden no DM/ PPR from NDVO, any ideas what could be wrong.. just cant handle the wait... ???

If any one can give me advice,

LVO asked me to send additional docs, RFPR Fees and Medical along with documents of my newly born baby with in 45 days after delivery of the baby. My Baby is born today, So Should I send an email to LVO to inform that the baby is delivered ??? Or I should just send the documents with out any notification to LVO.

THIS IS HARDEST THING TO WAIT.........................POSITIVE RESPONSE

Don't worry. You will get your passport back by 23rd.

If you submit your visa through VFSGlobal, you will get the passport tracking else you have to wait.

For most cases, Decision Made done before visa. For my case, Visa has been issued before Decision Made.

Hey Century, So your estimation is one day before my travel??? I will be breaking my nerves until there...

If something goes wrong, I will have no much time to act. So far my ECAS still has onlye the 3rd line.

I really hope I can get it in time.. but I won't sleep until there...

Thanks for your answer
