Wait for email response. It may take 50-60 days to get response.

You may also call them. Note that many of the agents are not so helpful of your query. So you have to try again and again and needs luck to get status:

To know the status of your application by calling cic from outside canada
dial - 0016139444000
select 1 for English
then 1 for foreign affair
2 for immigration
call is being transferred to cic
then 1 for English
2 for status
1 for PR
8 digit client id number will be asked
listen to the request 3 times without entering any client id number.

Q1. I am an Indian applicant, but my education and work credentials are all from overseas i.e. London. I am applying from India as I recently came back. I just need to know if there is someone who is in a similar boat and how will this affect the timeline of my application (App recd date is 29/12/2014)?

Q2. I did not have any representative which meant I did all of my documentation based on what I learnt and understood, the thing that worries me more than anything is work experience docs. The wording is my interpretation documented by my manager. I guess I just have to bite the bullet and see what comes, so this aint question anymore I guess.

Q3. What are the more important factors that your app will be judged upon from all 6 factors?

Hi Faiz, I have a similar background - european education and work ex and applied for within India. Your file, however, will be processed where you're currently residing.

The visa officers follow a set operating procedure while evaluating your case. Look up the operational manual 6C in CIC website for a clear idea. It's very well laid out.

Just got a call from my bank (ICICI Bank) that DD has been cleared on 29th Dec.
Was really worried considering that my app dated 2nd sept as per me was stated to be recd by cic on 20th Oct. I still am cautious regarding PER considering recent events. Will celebrate only once I receive PER.

Thanks to all forum members who believed in me even when I myself had given up hope. Wouldn't have been possible without the strength to sustain that you guys have given me. Don't want to take names as the list is endless and don't want to miss anyone even inadvertently.

Will update SS in the evening. My timelines as follows :

Noc : 1114
App recd date As per me : 2nd sept.
App recd date As per cic : 20th Oct.
DD encashment date : 29th Dec.

Please understand the problem that due to restriction some one can't open SS and to reduce questions like, what is you app date, what is PER date, I request all to update your time line under your Profile on left.
Below s the procedure :



Hi Friends, Brothers and Sisters ... Wish you all success with your Dream and All the very Best with the Process.

I have one request, if possible ... **** Please update important & required information timeline under you Name in Profile, so that it can be easy for every one to understand and see details rather then to go and check in SS.

It is very Easy, Below are steps:

Just go to right top of Screen and you will find " PROFILE " tab, click over it.

Then - On the left middle of screen you will get 3 options : Under " Modify Profile " - please choose second option " Forum Profile Information " and click over it.

Then please enter your details , whatever applicable , like :

Location:
Category........:
Visa Office......:
NOC Code......:
App. Filed.......:
Doc's Request.:
Nomination.....:

And it will show under your name .... Please help each other to make it easy to check current timeline of individual.

Appreciate your help

Can some one please guide me how long will it take to get medical request and is the LVO that will send the mail or is it the CIC. I have received my UCI number of 19th December, my application submission date is Sep 10th, applied under NOC 0111.

Please some let me know how long will it take to get the VISA after we get confirmation from CIC
