So, pg123 according to you :

--> After PER

Stage 1 ) they check - necessary verification of docs related to ur work exp... including checking lead statement,making sure that the docs are genuine and any verification of employers or asking for second review by other officer..

Stage 2 ) second review, if required) Background check and/or interview

Stage 3) when u see the second line, from that day VO started security and criminality checks


So as per you, 2nd line updated means POF and Employment verification done and now started security and criminality checks, is it so ? ? ? ?

Second line means the officer can see that ur eligibility is passed... they may have still questions like employment letters or POF or some other document (see my previous post)

Second line update without changing status to decision made means... the VO is confidant about ur eligibility...

Now they MAY check background like employer verification... BEFORE MR......

AT the same time they will initiate security checks and criminality (if not initiated... usually this is the first thing they initiate... that is starting from PCC provided)

So.... these two checks will be going on.... the vo will ask 3rd party to process it..... once u pass these two checks u may expect PPR.


Again PPR will be dependant on few things 1) ur officer processing the file.... (he may still be working on other applications)

2) Ur file's bring forward date..

3) Number of pprs ur officer has to make before he can arrange for urs...

Hello all,

I will be on a longer trip to Germany next month and I expect to receive the MR by Hong Kong VO during that time. Is it possible to do the medical examination in Germany when the responsible VO is in Hong Kong?

If so, does anyone know how it impacts the processing times? Will the examination results be sent via postal service from Germany to HK or exclusively transmitted online?

Any help would be appreciated. If somebody has a link or a MR email that gives additional info on that, I would be happy if you share that.

Hi I am 10 nevember applicant. I have sent via courier Dhl so they delivered file at different address.which is mentioned in Cic web site. This is my second attempt first time file came back.is anyone like me who had same experience and get sucssess also. Previous noc 3012. Now 3233

whats your status? as i have received my PER so need to inform the vo. so did you send an email to the vo on CSE? also did you updated your schedule A form online or sent a hard copy?

Yes, if u have PER that means ur file is no longer associated with CIO-Sydney... It is either in transit to VO or at VO

Send a cover letter and updated form with ur full name, DOB, File NUmber and UCI, they will attach it to ur file...

Then u may ask VO to acknowledge the docs arrival by email or u can check GCMS note (any thing received by VO or CIO including emails, docs must be entered to GCMS file)

Hi its clear......

When they update second line they will actually start processing.....

2 line (without third line decision made) means u passed eligibility.... both minimum requirement and 67 points..

Now, after second line, though u passed eligibility, a officer may have questions about three things
1) some of ur documents could be suspicious to the officer (like exact match of job description) then the officer will ask the other officer for second review
2) may be they wanna do ur employer verification... then they will go for background checks
3)officer can have questions about ur abilities or need clarification about something from u..... INTERVIEW CALL

AT THIS STAGE, 2nd line and no third line decision made, they cannot reject u directly.... they must give u an opportunity to explain ur self or to provide further proof of docs....

If an applicant successfully finishes this stage.... eligibility pass........


Now MR....

So time between 2nd line and MR is the time they MAY perform ur employer check... if and only if they want to...

Well if minimum wages are $11 for one person then just double the amount ... CAD 1700 for me + CAD 1700 for my wife = 3400 - so i guess at least we will get $ 3000 per month and that enough for first 6 month.
It cant be worst and if it will then we are ready for that also
