I just want to share my experience. I came to Canada on work visa and my husband on dependent. We filed open work permit for him which took 3 months. In next 3 months he was able to get job in place like London where IT opportunities are limited. Considering small city salary is also decent and comparable. Couple of things we did was - Create Canadian style resume and good linkedIn profile. Got connected with recruiters using LinkedIn. He missed few opportunities as they wanted PR candidates as open work permit for another 6 months only. So it may take time but we need to keep trying. Based on my observation in Canada, social networking is playing key role in filling positions.
Regards
Thanks a lot kashifyousuf and Manila for your valuable inputs..kashifyousuf said:Most of the countries do not have this system of changing names after marriage for woman like Saudis, other ARabic plus European Countries,,, it's only Indian , Pakistanis, and other South Asian have this traditions and those mentioned earlier are also getting Visas for Principal Applicant and Spouse (Wife) Also so I believe there is no problem in it and I have seen one example with my consultant like that , where he due to urgency didn't recommend to his one of a client to go for name change and only attached Marriage Certificate with Attorney stamp and an AFfidavit.

Just got a call from my bank (ICICI Bank) that DD has been cleared on 29th Dec.
Was really worried considering that my app dated 2nd sept as per me was stated to be recd by cic on 20th Oct. I still am cautious regarding PER considering recent events. Will celebrate only once I receive PER.
Thanks to all forum members who believed in me even when I myself had given up hope. Wouldn't have been possible without the strength to sustain that you guys have given me. Don't want to take names as the list is endless and don't want to miss anyone even inadvertently.
Will update SS in the evening. My timelines as follows :
Noc : 1114
App recd date As per me : 2nd sept.
App recd date As per cic : 20th Oct.
DD encashment date : 29th Dec.

My annulment has already been granted but the annotation procedure with the statistics office will take about 6 months.
If im considering to remarry after the annotation, do I need to inform the visa office about it? Or it is more advisable to get married after landing?
Thanks.
