The form asks for specific VISA type rejections ONLY. Most of the confusion comes on Visitor Visa and pls understand that USA and UK countries clearly classify full time student/work permit does not come under Visitor. Visitor visa is completely different and if some has applied for a visitor visa and rejected should surely mention. Give some time explore their official websites for more details. ex: travel.state.gov/content/visas/english/study-exchange.html

Thanks for your reply!
Really, I get tired by time with this issue. I applied for the B1/B2 visa for me and my wife and got rejected with no official reasons and no refusal stamp. The rejection was mostly because there are no strong ties with the home country.
when I sent my application, many have informed me that I was not supposed to tick "yes" for this question. Thus , I ignore the question.
Now, after all these controversial discussions , I couldn't come to a definite decision. Yesterday, I sent a correction cover letter along with 2 new schedule A forms. Yet, I asked the courier service to return my shipment because some members and friends had warned me that such a letter could delay significantly my application and could rather cause it to be rejected !!! :o Suggesting that as long as there is no refusal stamp and the visa application was not intended to Canada, I have nothing to worry about!!
By time, I get confused as I'm not able to decide what I'm going to do !
Your Suggestions are highly appreciated!
Regards! :)

My wife (Secondary applicant) got business visa rejection 2009. But I don't think we have declared the same. As nothing has been mentioned on her passport for rejection of visa.

Till now the status is I m waiting for my PPR.

Is there any possibility for rejection.

I suggest you do disclose it to your Visa office. Your spouse's previous stint was still a rejection. Its OK if you don't have the rejection letter, still declare it.

I had done the same mistake. After I received my MR, I drafted an apologetic cover letter, alongwith revised background form, photocopies of US visa rejection letters and sent it to my Visa office in New Delhi via courier.
Generally after your Medicals, your local VO does criminality check, wherein 1 of their checks includes verifying your information with the US immigration database too (generally for asylum, deportation etc.) but your student and tourist visa rejection will definitely crop up there.

Although, that's not a base to jeopardize your Canadian PR, but they might reject your case based on misrepresentation...now...after you get a PR and land in canada..or maybe even after you acquire a Canadian citizenship...you never know..quite uncertain situation to be in....

Hence, I suggest you send your local VO all these docs by courier. Declaring this now won't affect your PR application for sure..a 100% positive on that!!

Cheers!!
