I had done the same mistake. After my MR request, I drafted an apologetic cover letter, alongwith revised background form, photocopies of US visa rejection letters and sent it to my Visa office in New Delhi via courier.

Generally after your Medicals, your local VO does criminality check, wherein 1 of their checks includes verifying your information with the US immigration database too (generally for asylum, deportation etc.) but your student and tourist visa rejection will definitely crop up there.

Although, that's not a base to jeopardize your Canadian PR, but they might reject your case based on misrepresentation...now...after you get a PR and land in canada..or maybe even after you acquire a Canadian citizenship...you never know..quite uncertain situation to be in....

Hence, I suggest you send your local VO all these docs by courier. Declaring this now won't affect your PR application for sure..a 100% positive on that!!

My spouse had a visit visa rejection for US back in 2008. The passport does not have any stamp and unfortunately we misplaced the rejection papers. We did get a US visa after a couple of years and travelled together for a holiday. We haven't mentioned this rejection in our application. Do you think it would be an issue.

Few of the forum friends did mention it wouldn't since I am the primary applicant and both of us did manage to get a visa and travel to the US post this incident.

Opinions will be appreciated.

Don't think in a wrong way. I have sent you a PM and reply back at your convenience.

The only thing is worrying me is that it has been more than 2 months I received PER from CIC. This is inline with your case and for the same reason i've asked you.

It generally takes 2+ months from PER to MR. Nothing to worry about.

Keep your fingers crossed, you will hear from them soon.

What is the timeline to submit the passport after ppr email is received to NDVO?

Like in Medical we get 45 days to submit the Medicals, PCC and RPRF.

I have to travel to US Can I submit my passport in USA for passport stamping .

I suggest you do disclose it to your Visa office. Your spouse's previous stint was still a rejection. Its OK if you don't have the rejection letter, still declare it.

It's 30 days. You have to submit your passport in 30 days. and not sure if you can get the stamping done in USA.

They send MR when PSDEC, SELDEC, document verification and criminality checks are complete in case police certificates were provided at CIO stage.

Diplo, please elaborate on what PSDEC & SELDEC stand for :-X

Would you have any idea about what checks are complete prior to MR request for applications where PCC was not given with the initial application?
