Will US rejection makes any problem for not mentioning in CIC application form?

I had done the same mistake. After my MR request, I drafted an apologetic cover letter, alongwith revised background form, photocopies of US visa rejection letters and sent it to my Visa office in New Delhi via courier.

Generally after your Medicals, your local VO does criminality check, wherein 1 of their checks includes verifying your information with the US immigration database too (generally for asylum, deportation etc.) but your student and tourist visa rejection will definitely crop up there.

Although, that's not a base to jeopardize your Canadian PR, but they might reject your case based on misrepresentation...now...after you get a PR and land in canada..or maybe even after you acquire a Canadian citizenship...you never know..quite uncertain situation to be in....

Hence, I suggest you send your local VO all these docs by courier. Declaring this now won't affect your PR application for sure..a 100% positive on that!!

Did they complete the background check before updating it or other-way around?

They send MR when PSDEC, SELDEC, document verification and criminality checks are complete in case police certificates were provided at CIO stage.

I have not mentioned the US B1 visa rejection to CIC. I have received PER now.

How long does it take from DD encashment to PER email ??

Visa office : NDVO. We received PER on 19th Dec. Do we get any automated reply when we raise case specific enquiry on the portal? I raised a request to update details of renewed passports, but didn't get any mail. Should I raise another query? Can someone please share email id of Delhi office? Thanks in advance.

Could you tell me for which country was this Visa applied ? Canada or another country ?! In my case, the Visa was intended for the USA (B1/B2 VISA). Now , I'm quite worried what to do! Should I ignore the issue as this visa wasn't for Canada ?! or send an update from now ? or even wait until getting the PER then sending an update to the VO ?

The form asks for specific VISA type rejections ONLY. Most of the confusion comes on Visitor Visa and pls understand that USA and UK countries clearly classify full time student/work permit does not come under Visitor. Visitor visa is completely different and if some has applied for a visitor visa and rejected should surely mention. Give some time explore their official websites for more details. ex: travel.state.gov/content/visas/english/study-exchange.html

The form also mentions "Temporary Resident". Students are temporary residents..and so are visitors...It is absolutely necessary to declare that...
